Politics end up giving fans a raw end of the deal because we are so loyal to the sport... I'm hoping 2017 gives us more of what we want...

Have a great time! the fight is going to be awesome!! I have never been to a live boxing event. One day...
Its Mayweathers fault lol He set new standards as far as Fight Purses go...he basically set a new curve for everyone. From the fighters standpoint its a great thing! Now A level guys can ask for more...and B level moves up some also...

And now to compensate for the new fighter paychecks..we're getting 1 sided matchups or PPV Fights that shouldnt be on PPV...

And we're also seeing higher priced PPV Telecasts for these fights..

When Mayweather fought Pacquiao for $100..i just knew all the other A Level fighters were going to start charging 60/70 per PPV..and sure enough they did....

So from the fighters view..great time in boxing if you're a top fighter..

But from the fans view...we have to come out of pocket even more and now forced to pay for fights that used to be on HBO/SHO.

This is a very intriguing match up which has upset written all over it. Kirkland is a pressure fighter who throws lots of punches while walking his man down.

On the other hand and especially in recent years, Cotto has been expending an awful lot of energy by fighting off the back foot, while attempting to outpoint his opponents from the outside. It was what cost him both the Canelo Alvarez and Austin Trout fights.

This fight has the potential of being Margarito/Cotto I, all over again minus the plaster of paris hand wraps. Therefore, if he can't manage to back Kirkland up or hurt him, then this can very well end up being a long night for Miguel Cotto; Given James Kirkland's cardio, work rate and also coupled with Anne Wolf being back in his corner as the chief trainer.

If your answer is yes, then stfu because your argument about whether his resume is good or not is pointless because he wouldn't be considered a hall Of famer if his resume was weak . If your answer is no, stfu because that means you don't know **** about boxing.

Says the guy who thinks that applying for jobs that you didn't get = resume, because that is what happened to Cotto against Pacquiao, Floyd, and Canelita. He didn't make the grade. The sooner you accept that the quicker you can move on with your life.

what's to move on from? I don't care that he lost, it doesn't effect my pockets. My point was he's faced the best fighters this Era has had to offer. He's won some and lost some but he's not a cherry picker as the other schmuck suggested and is a first ballot hall of famer. It's pretty cut and dry. End of story.
