Not even Fonfara who dropped Stevenson could stop Chavez JR. do you honestly think an ex 154 pounder is gonna stop him? think twice before you answer, and don't come up with the drained excuse because Heredia is with Chavez now and this will be his biggest fight and last chance to make it big.

Boxing is all ****ed up. It's irreparable. GGG is the fight but bum ass Chavez brings more money so he gets the fight. Things like this keep happening, everyone is doing it too. We as a boxing fanbase just keep on taking L after L. Just so these clowns can go and make more money. **** is whack.Comment

Are you high? Does Lara's team saying Showtime or bust, and Haymon's sham promoter Dibella saying there would be "network issues" making that fight ring any bells? GGG would love that fight. Easy money. Angulo at 154 knocked Lara down twice. Canelo at 154 fought him even and landed the left hook to the body many times. GGG has a wonderful left hook and Lara's best weapon, his jab, won't be the same vs GGG. Canelo and Angulo can't match Lara in jabs. GGG can not just match him but land power jabs. Lara would have zero chance in that fight.Comment

Fans like you are part of the problem. Your analysis is correct in the first paragraph, but your acceptance of the bull**** in the second paragraph is baffling. You view everything from a cold business perspective. Where is the fight fan in you? Don't you wanna know who is the best fighter? Canelo's ducking antics and other such bull**** is killing the sport yet you defend it.
Boxing isn't treated like other sports because you don't play boxing. It's smart for any fighter to maximize the money they make because there's always a risk involved. I understand that.
You have guys like Magomed Abdusalamov and Prichard Colon barely leaving the ring with their lives. I honestly wonder how much boxing fans donated to their "get-well-soon" causes.
Anyway, boxing is their career and paid dues don't always pay rent. I see that, fighters and their teams see that, and I imagine boxing fans see that as well.
Short version: Boxing is a career to fighters, and like any career, you want to earn the most money possible before retiring.Comment
