The fight with Golovkin will happen at 160. But Canelo wants what he thinks will be an easy money grab in the meantime. Its boxing, it happens. Golovkin fans wouldn't have a problem if Golovkin took the Chavez Jr. fight so quit the crap already.

Im not middleweight yet to fight GGG, but will fight Chavez at 165 - Canelo.

This fight will do less than Cotto vs Canelo, Mexico vs Puerto rico. Only Mexicans fans care about this fight and most Mexicans know Chavez jr is a potato. This fight is nothing to get ecxited about. Chavez jr last fight didnt even get shown on HBO or Showtime, that shows how much people want to see him.

But Jr is less risk than GGG.

Lmao rite only Mexican fans care about this **** fight. They'll spin it as if Chavez is just some huge cash cow when in reality GGG-Canelo would be more successful. Canelo is a fraud GGG will be near 40 before Canelo faces him.

they box for the money. i'm honestly surprised this fight hasn't happened yet. the only reason it hasn't is that chavez is a cruiserweight. if they market it correctly it will be one of the biggest sporting events of the year in mexico, and a very solid ppv draw with mexican casuals.

Lol we'll see if that "Mexicans support boxing more" statement is true even though it isn't. Its a reason no big fights are staged over there. Canelo- Cotto was a PR - Mexican rivalry involving Cotto one of the biggest draws in boxing history and the ppv still didn't crack 1 million. Chavez Jr not bigger than Cotto. This ppv does 400k at the most. Only idiots would pay for this fight. If only Mexican casuals watch it as you say then it'll probably do less.

Canelo fighting GGG would bring a lot more money than the fight with Chavez Jr. So now we know that the avoidance of GGG was a clear duck by Canelo and that it was not about money despite what Oscar is trying to BS the public with. Canelo is losing credibility every day.

Chavez Jr. already turned down 7 million to fight GGG. Canelo said he was not a middleweight and so now he fights Chavez Jr. above middleweight. Both clearly have ducked GGG. GGG is not interested in Chavez Jr. fight. It is a joke. Clearly a duck by Canelo.

for the same reason Golovkin was willing to fight Chavez at 168 but not Ward..its a business move, because both Canelo and Golovkin are business men. .my only knock on this fight is i can't imagine Chavez making 165 comfortably, while Canelo should have no issues, he gets to eat more. .the only thing Chavez Jr brings to the table is his last name, as a fighter he's arguably a C- talent, has been irrelevant for many years.

He just made 167.8 something he had not achieved since a looooong time ago, plus he got Heredia now and has 4 months to fully prepare, believe me he'll make the weight and he'll be at his best for this particular fight.

Why does he need to drain this limited fighter?

Because this drained fighter not long ago was a LHW, and Canelo has never stepped to the scales higher than 155, don't matter if it's a limited fighter or not, Chavez is durable as hell and Canelo as it is right now is moving up 11 pounds.

Canelo will be now a fighter who's fought in 5 divisions, GGG could learn a little from that and move up or down just one pound.

Suddenly that's ok. It's bull crap. Let's take a look at something, how many CW fights has Golovkin fought. How many has Canelo fought.

Canelo is going up to fight a guy who wouldn't be able to win even if he wasn't half dead.. Canelo isn't small, dude is heavy as ****.

Canelo takes no fight with guys his size unless they are compromised. Kirkland was small, and dude still was out 18 months.

Not he is going to fight a severely drained Chevez. What is the point. To trick fans out if their money without taking a risk?

1 It don't matter if Canelo has had a ton of CW fights and Golovkin none. Pacquiao and Mayweather who will be legendary HoF's have CW's, so your point has totally gone out of the windows, There's no such thing as "To be a great fighter you don't need to have CW's"

2 Chavez vs Lemiuex @165, Chavez vs Brook @165, Chavez vs Wade @165, Chavez vs BJS @165, Chavez vs Charlo @165, do you pick in all those fights? Chavez at that weight would beat all those dudes, don't need to be a genius to conclude that.

3 Kirkland was small? c'mon man, u know that's a straight lie, Kirkland is a big dude.

4 Beating Chavez will build up more the GGG fight in Sep. and will make it a bigger event mark my word, Canelo and DLH are being pushed to the extreme, they have no option but to fight GGG on Sep.
