Jacobs has nowhere else to go, if we're honest about it.

Gennady Golovkin will be 35 years old by the time April 2017 comes around, has had a single sizable payday (to travel to London for $4m), and will not do a damn thing to jeopardize a Alvarez payday (who has signed a direct longterm deal with HBO) that his camp seems to openly believe to be worth well in excess of $10m.

If K2 loses the bid, Golovkin's dumping the belt quicker than quick, and it'll be on Sanchez and folks like you to try and spin the "Showtime was willing to pay too much money for the fight, so we had to walk away" bull**** into being accepted.

And it's literally impossible to gaurantee anything 14 months down the line in a sport like boxing. Canelo blatently ducked Golovkin, and you're either following some anti GGG agenda or you're a ****ing idiot.
        No, it's not.

This wasn't just an 'I'll fight him' comment, the fight was offered and would have been drawn up just like Ward-Kovalev; Golovkin"s team turned it down. That is fact.

It's not other people being anti-GGG, it's that you're one of the 'GGG can do no wrong' fanboys.

          Drawn up just like Kovalev/Ward?

Kovalev and Ward spent months negotiating before signing contracts with HBO a year out, and they didn't actually sign to fight each other till a month before the fight happened.

Neither of them accepted the first offer they were sent by the other and just signed it, without any counter offer or negotiation, which is what you are saying GGG should do for Canelo.

Yeah, Uncle Al is going to take this fight to a purse bid and force GGG to vacate, just like he did when Wade was mando for the IBF title. Oh .... wait ...

Sanchez wants someone who has to kill himself to make 168 to fight at 160. Duh! G will fight Wilder or Joshua at 160 too! That or Sanchez must have forgot the excuse he gave for Ward, Froch, and Canelo which is he only fights at 160. Ohh, at least Sanchez gives sites like this something to put up. Now if he would only give the fans one good fight with G. I really doubt it though, 35 and still terrified of good opponents and ped tests. Or well, it is what it is. At least we have fighters like Charlo and Ward and Kov who aren't afraid of a tough fight.

Yes, they agreed to fight a year out and then fought at that point. There was no issue.

Golovkin was offered the same situation for the biggest fight in boxing, by FAR a career high payday and an opportunity to become a superstar...they turned it down.

If he's expecting more than $10million (which is more than Canelo got against Mayweather) then we all might as well forget about the fight.

If GGG/Canelo doesn't happen it will be because Canelo vacated his title and ran away when it was mandated by the WBC.

So Canelo should be the one risking a highly unfair 55/45 split despite being the FAR bigger name and draw while Golovkin makes zero concessions and gets paid more than he's worth.

                    Sad.

There would have been no need for a purse bid if Canelo had offered GGG $5million and 160 to fight last Sept, instead of just vacating without making any offers at all.
