Nothing wrong with hype, just stop disrespecting the opponent in the process. And don't talk a bunch of ****** **** like "Charlo struggled with Trout" when Williams never fought anyone near as good as Trout, let alone beat someone that caliber.

Charlo looked solid last night, but it was against a guy who has beaten nobody and who has a suspect chin. We saw Charlo was a good fighter when he edged past Trout, but keep things in perspective; Lara toyed with and dropped a better version of Trout and a 21 year old Canelo beat and dropped a prime Trout.

Williams? We don't know what level he is. Only time will tell.
canelo trout was still a close fight. styles make fights anyway. just because one dude knocks this guy down or out doesn't mean another one is going to. different styles matchup differently.

Canelo couldn't stop Trout and Lara. What makes you think he would stop Jermall Charlo? He's a big light middleweight, very athletic, he can punch. Canelo might win, but it won't be easy.

I had guys telling me Spence was the truth way back in 2014. Some people said Mayweather was the truth way back in 2001.

It's called the eye test and knowing SAB for a reason. Some people can do it and are right. There's nothing wrong with that.

I'm not saying call someone a future ATG or Fighter of the Decade like you and the other guy mlac did. No, I'm not saying to go that far.

But I started a thread about Benevidas being a future champ without having fought the #1 guy yet and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

I also said Kovalev will be a future ATG and one of the best Light Heavies to lace them up; I don't think there's anything wrong with that. We'll see. It's all off the eye test.

                Good thread Lazza!

Charlo looks good but a bit too upright and stiff, I don't think he's ready for Canelo atm.

Look at J-Rocks resume WHO THE HELL HAS THIS GUY FOUGHT??
Outside of Centeno, Williams really hasn't fought anyone.

Again, I'm not saying he was a future ATG like mlac said, I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with people saying he would beat Charlo before last night.

Someone had to predict a winner. Some people chose Charlo and others chose Williams. It was a pickem fight and someone had to lose.

I, literally, hate Sunday's after the big fights on Saturdays because NSB goes full ****** afterwards.

Someone had to lose and it was Williams. To say people shouldn't be saying he's a good fighter is asinine.

I think you're getting to caught up in the Golovkin thread that was made last night and that prompted you to make this one.

There's a difference in people critisizing Golovkin's win over Monroe Jr and people saying Julian Williams is a good fighter. Golovkin is in P4P talks and should fight worthy competition. Jermall and Williams are both up and comers and are 26 years old and are very good prospects; I think Jermall just separated himself and is no longer a prospect, but deserves a fight with Canelo.

The criticism GGG gets is different and is justified because he's been in the game for over 10 years, is a P4P fighter and is 34, soon to be 35 years old

Again, it's nothing wrong with having a fighter/prospect that passes the eye test and you, as a fan, saying that.
