GGG hasn't fought "big names" BC he is the most avoided fighter in boxing .... Per Kellerman, A Bernstein, D Rafael, Breadman, etc. Experts and insiders know what goes on behind the scenes.

I wonder if Golovkins contract with HBO has stipulations for situations like this, where a competing network/promoter wins a purse bid for an HBO contracted fighter?

It does seem far fetched for anyone else to win the bid, GGG's side is already going to get 75%, and I'm sure they already have a date and number in mind from HBO, as far as what they are willing to pay for the fight.

HBO contracts must have a stipulation like that for mandatory defences. They would be shooting themselves in the foot if they caused one of their star fighters to lose his title because of an exclusivity deal.

Based on the fact that GGG is the champion and the WBA rules state that the champion is entitled to 75% of the purse if it goes to a bid.
