We should sue Jacobs for wasting everybodys time and robbing us of a GGG fight in December. What a disgusting coward. Cant sell tickets, has no fans and thinks he deserves a retirement fund? Does he have no honor, no guts, nothing? Haymon ruined boxing, fighters like Jacobs are the scum of the sport, just disgusting. If he wins this fight he would be unified champion with 3 major belts and become a p4p star, but he knows he will get knocked out so he stalls the fight as long as possible to ruin GGGs and our time.

Also people defending Jacobs on this matter are part of the problem ruining their own hobby.

I wonder if Golovkins contract with HBO has stipulations for situations like this, where a competing network/promoter wins a purse bid for an HBO contracted fighter?

It does seem far fetched for anyone else to win the bid, GGG's side is already going to get 75%, and I'm sure they already have a date and number in mind from HBO, as far as what they are willing to pay for the fight.

Can't really blame Jacobs for wanting more than 25%. I mean, it's a career threatening fight, one he should get min. 35-40%. I'm not even a Jacobs fan and I can see that. 'Don't deserve it' is a fools comment. The guy's a fighter for a living. Geez.

Exactly! That has been the model. They fight people we never heard of and or never asked for. And it's always an excuse of why the fights don't get made. If they continue to lose viewership with all this diva shyt, and straight up mismatches. Nobody was asking for Garcia vs whatever that bums name he just fought. We get these matches much more often then we get great matches like Ward vs Kovalev or Crawford vs Postol, Thurman vs Porter etc.. It's like when they fight a good fight expect a super long lay off or about 3 to 4 soft touches. I have one foot out the door I used to love the idea of boxing now I will be watching from a distance.

You deserve to make what based on what you're able to pull in. Jacobs' doesn't pull much in. His marquee fight vs Quillin in their hometown drew just over 8k and was viewed by around 400k on tv, that's ****ty... His rematch with Mora had about 6k people present and most were there b/c of the undercard fight, and that had less than 500k on free tv.

K2 originally offered him $1.5mill and he called that chump change. $1.5 mill is not chump change for a guy who draws those kind of number in his last two fights. You're right he wants excessive money b/c of the high risk of losing, but over $2mill? That's like a girl who's a 7, acting like she's a 10.

based on the fact that GGG is not worth 75 himslef... And if you think he is then same question back to you, based on what? Jacons beat quillin and quillin is better than anyone GGG has beat. So...

Don't take a blind man with missing eyes to see that this fight wasn't happening. ggg will again complain about how "ducked" they are, fight a subpar opponent and chase Canelo some more. Jacobs idk yet, but mw has enough people to feed on.
