They needed each other, neither would be as successful without the other.

Brook is the hometown hero, but Golovkin was a legitimate world class boxer who came to visit. If you listen to crowd reactions during the fight, or read articles after it, the atmsophere and the response was similar to Michael Jordan's Bulls playing Houston Rockets in Texas. Yes, the Rockets are the hometown team and will get loud ovation, but the arena will be sold out because a superstar came to town.

I guarantee you we wouldn't have three British judges but he would most definitely get the robbery victory.

Although.......... If Ward was British the crowd of Larry, Motorcity, Abtfkintime, HanzGruber etc you know who I'm talking about they'd be honest and admit that Ward (because he is British) didn't deserve the win they would put bias out of it.

I'm a fan of Brook and I'm not starting this thread to mock or discredit him. But before he fought GGG, Kel was definitely NOT a big PPV attraction in the UK.

Before GGG, Brook fought on one Sky PPV show, against Frankie Gavin, when he shared the bill with Anthony Joshua vs Kevin Johnson, and that show did 139k PPV buys, compared to over 500k for Brook vs GGG.

Estimates based on 5100 homes viewing habits. Useless for PPV's.
Barb is the most reliable source there is for UK TV viewing figures. Advertising companies and the TV companies themselves have been using BARB numbers since 1981.

But the numbers they give are for households, and when it comes to PPV buys, the estimate is based on average two viewers per PPV buy. So, in fact, the most reliable estimate for the Brook/Gavin show PPV buys = half 139k, which is around 75k.

No wonder Sky and Hearn didn't "leak" any info about the numbers for that show, which is what happened with their BIG sellers, like Brook/GGG and the Froch/Groves fights.

The site says Brook-Golovkin did 600k so that's really 300k then?

Way to prove them wrong yourself. Cong****.

No such thing as PPV draw without a proper dance partner.

Stop lying. The number they give for Brook/GGG is 644.

However you cook it, that means Brook/GGG did nearly 5 times the number Kel got for his previous PPV fight.

That's conclusive evidence that Golovkin is a big draw in the UK. And after the reception his first fight on UK soil got from the media and sports fans over here, he'll be even bigger if he comes back to fight here again.

It means the site is useless. We know it did over 500k but by their numbers say 322k.

False evidence is no evidence at all. So desperate, you're embarrassing yourself.
