Ward better be talking about a rematch. He signed the damn contract. Now follow through instead of talking about your 'options', ESPECIALLY in a fight that was decided by 1 point.

If this rematch doesn't happen because of Ward, he's absolutely dead to me.

Kovalev did seem to only have a plan A..all they talked about was power leading up to this fight..but after the power didnt end it he could not finish.. He needs to cut the ring off better and work the uppercut when Ward dips..I love his feints but he never set anything up with them. Kovalev needs to keep Ward in front of him as that is where he had his success...the rematch will be great

Good points. Where the hell was the uppercut? I was sure Kovalev would be packing one. Nope.

Also, it was a quick combo that dropped Ward. But, I saw mostly single shots after that. Kovalev was still faster and stronger than I even expected so no discredit to him. But, I feel like that was the very best Kovalev we've ever seen against a somewhat careless Andre Ward.

I think, Ward being such a relentless competitor, this will push him to raise his personal standards. Everyone that's been in the gym with him says he's a man possessed. As long as he's not content with "good enough" strives to a level above the fighter who beat Kovalev last night, I think he'll find that next level. He always has in the past.

I think Kovalev is that same way though and both will be superior versions of themselves in the rematch.

Kovalevs power gives him a wider margin of error than Ward has. It's a fight if territory and Dre has to make sure it is going on the inside.

Umm but it won't be round 13 because Kovalev will be fresh. Again people still underestimating Kov. There is no doubt in my mind Kovalev will try to avoid the clinches more and keep ward outside.

What can Ward do better outside? He never had a right hand. his left hooks were nullified because of Kov's length. It seems to me that Ward will need to work more to get inside without getting hit.
