I am sure that you will have some counter-points..... and I am sure that some will be correct/fair..... but they will only add to the points above, not erase them.

that is kinda starting to look like a cash-out fight...... like they are dangling the carrot (top) no pun intended ..... kinda like Arum did with Pac and the old bait-n-switch.....

..... they talked about fighting Canelo, and had no problem with 154..... then suddenly the weight became a show-stopper, wtf?

..... then, after Canelo (unbelievably) gave in and decided to fight Golovkin at 160..... despite the fact that Team Golovkin have stated that they are willing to make concessions, they walked out on 10mil LMAO

sounding more and more like a cash-out every day
The appropriate context is GGG probably deserves more than a flat fee of $10 million, even if it may be his biggest payday.

well, forget " probably "..... does he, or not..... ?

      * Golovkin has never had a career-defining fight, not 1
      * he is clearly struggling to make an impact on the US market
      * If Golovkin and Jacobs cannot generate 10mil TOGETHER, then why on earth would Canelo pay him 10mil?

The fact is, he COULD have taken 10mil, but he CHOSE not to

What's this bull****? All megafights have ppv upside for both guys. With your thinking Canelo is justified offering 20k flat. Fair comes next, right?

Canelo was moving up because he was a teenager, He's 26 now and is at middleweight fully.

GGG was 24 when he debuted as a middleweight.

It's actually more impressive that GGG maintained the same weight for 10 years but Canelo gets fatter like a pig by the year.

              SteveM had a good point.

many others moved up, that did not " save " boxing

what Golovkin badly needs to do, is to start living up to his hype

I mean seriously, how does this make boxing look?..... the supposed feared middleweight, P4P, killer, blah, blah..... is petrified to take any kind of risk..... when it comes to actually wanting fights he hardly embraced even mid-level opponents like Saunders/Jacobs, but he sure hugged little Kell Brook to death.

Jones is right, but I don't agree that moving up will make any difference..... the pacifist simply needs to start making the fights that he has been avoiding..... Golovkin is only fooling the casuals.
It actually shows the point you made that Golovkin is the most feared pound for pound killer. No one is ducking Danny Garcia or Adonis Stevenson right? Yeah because no one is scared of them.

It shows that guys like Canelo will talk shit in the ring after a fight TWICE but will vacate and keep talking to avoid the boogeyman.

nah, that is just rubbish that Team Bull**** are spinning to gullible fans

Golovkin had 10mil reasons to accept that fight, but he still found a reason not to

that guy will never land a meaningful fight, EVER

look at the first line in your sig LMAO

                  * they are killing the Jacobs fight as we speak, they called for an early purse-bid rather than negotiate in good faith..... the WBA can see whats up so they refused the purse-bid and extended the negotiation date..... it is highly unlikely that Team Bull**** will land that fight either

Also, I would just about bet my life that Golovkin's ONLY journey to 168 will be against a lesser made-to-order opponent and likely in his last/second last fight.
                  More nonsense.

                  He refused Canelo twice?

Canelo invited him into the ring after the Khan fight, and Loeffler was told to stand by his phone on Monday morning. Yet they then relinquished the belt to fight Liam Smith instead.

Nobody would accept Oscar's flat fee offer, when they've yet to meet in person to discuss any specifics.

What do you mean he watched Brook make 4m +? GG made 5m.

How are they killing the Jacobs fight? As if Jacobs was going to get 40%

Loeffler wanted purse bids to get the fight tied up. But he's been trying to reach a compromise all throughout this last month. It's Jacobs who's stalling, claiming that he now needs 10-12 weeks preparation. It's laughable.

Man, you are an absolute embarrassment.

You should become a fantasy novelist.

The best part of this horse manure post, has to be:

"Canelo (unbelievably) gave in and decided to fight Golovkin at 160..."

                    What was unbelievable about it?

The fight would be HUGE, generating millions in PPV revenue.

Why would his team have accepted a flat fee offer, 12 months out, from a company who've proven to be untrustworthy, when it will be one of the biggest grossing fights of all time? No respected businessman would accept such an offer 12 months out, when both teams haven't even met in person to discuss any specifics.

                      You are absolutely clueless.
