You have all these guys who say Genady doesn't have to go anywhere, but Canelo is a coward for not moving up?? Sad.
The good thing is that Gennady references greats like Hagler and Hearns....so if new media experts ask Hearns or Hagler, "if Gennady can't get the best fights at 160, should he just stay there or move up to become a 2 division champ?"

Then all a sudden Bigdramashow and the rest of the Freedom inspired alts will say, "it's all a black panther conspiracy."

How come boxing writers aren't asking Hagler or Hearns the situation, or are Hearns and Hagler bombarded with fundamental questions with 'Alvarez?'

this is the problem RIGHT HERE.....

this genius thinks that the little red kid who has just moved to 160 should suddenly jump another 2 divisions.....

..... and yet Mr "anyone from 154-168" should stay at 160 fighting bums

      LMAO

there is nothing to suggest that the average fan should be taken seriously

        SteveM had a good point.

many others moved up, that did not " save " boxing

what Golovkin badly needs to do, is to start living up to his hype

I mean seriously, dow does this make boxing look?..... the supposed feared middleweight, P4P, killer, blah, blah..... is petrified to take any kind of risk..... when it comes to actually wanting fights he hardly embraced even mid-level opponents like Saunders/Jacobs, but he sure hugged little Kell Brook to death.

Jones is right, but I don't agree that moving up will make any difference..... the pacifist simply needs to start making the fights that he has been avoiding..... Golovkin is only fooling the casuals.
Actually look at what moving up gave us:

        Holyfield vs Tyson
        Floyd vs Canelo
        Jackson vs Gmam
        Duran vs Leonard
        Pernell vs Chavez
        Chavez vs Oscar
        Oscar vs Hopkins
        Pavlik vs Hopkins
        Hearns vs Hagler
        Spinks vs Holmes
        Barrera vs Naseem

I don't think anyone is saying that GGG shouldn't move up at some point. People are saying he should move up AFTER he fights Canelo. If Canelo didn't want the fight, then sure, he can move up. But Canelo's camp says they want the fight, meaning GGG may (and probably will) get the fight with Canelo.

then why didn't Mr biznessman take the fkn fight and move up

what the fk is he waiting for, santa claus ? LMAO

he should obviously have taken that fight, you excuse-making clowns are ridiculous

I've never been the one to believe en****** should make business deals that undermines their value.

I mean if GGG offered Canelo 50-50, I'd completely argue the same thing because Canelo would be ripped off big time.

not arguing with you..... but I could literally name HUNDREDS of TOP fights that occurred with the same division

you do not have to move up in order to make good fights, lil'G could have fought Jacobs/Saunders/Canelo/Lara..... he could have negotiated on the weight with lil old faded 153lb Cotto, he could have moved up for Ward and then continued his run at 160, like they were willing to do for Froch/Chavez..... the point is, he is doing absolutely nothing

..... fighters who do move up have more opportunities, so while I agree with you, what I am saying is..... if Golovkin is not going to move up, the hypejob could at least do more to make the fights that are sitting there in his own division

              something > nothing

GGG is the king of the sport right now, and he wants to unify 160, fair play, so I hope the Saunders fight happens in the next 6 months. Because after that, he needs to start doing great things like going up a division or else people will criticise him for always playing it safe. 2017 needs to be his biggest year to date. 2016 quite frankly was a f***ing joke. Wade and Brook were awful fights.

bro, my expectations of Golovkin are low as fk

because I know exactly what they are doing, they are taking the risk/reward fights they want, and they are passing on the rest..... so I don't think 168 will ever happen

and I don't think GGG/Canelo will ever happen either..... that has played out identically to the Ward situation..... Team Golovkin have switched excuses, first it was the weight, now it is the money..... so yea, their intentions are pretty obvious

I just want Golovkin to start taking the mid-level fights like Saunders, Jacobs, Eubank..... or yea, he is literally doing nothing of note

his career to date is..... meh

Honestly Anthony Joshua is the king of boxing now, not some 34 year old who can't sell 100k ppvs.

                      * Canelo got 5mil for FLOYD FKN MAYWEATHER
                      * Golovkin refused 10mil for Canelo

You can spin that however you like but the fact remains.....

FACT: he could have simply fought Canelo

That is yet another fight that Golovkin COULD have taken, but he CHOSE not to

When will the excuses finally stop ?
