    Let it go, mate.

You're also not getting the point that the Alvarex fight was alrways there, and Loeffler Abel never took the deals. The fact of the matter is, any Alvarez vs Golovkin bout automatically gets a rematch clause. Therfore, it's obvious Abel and Loeffler are pricing themselves out. Doesn't matter what Bout I is agreed upon, if Alvarez is easy work, then match 2 or 3 have different splits. This is common sense. Loeffler and Abel are so amateur and insecure about splits for themselves it really has nothing to do with Golovkin.

But a sad #48 bitterboy can't understand it.
Lol why would I be sad about Floyd/Manny? I always have said Floyd would win as he was a stylistic nightmare and you can look at my post history to prove it.

Canelo's camp hasn't given a fair offer so even if that $10 million offer is available, why would I blame a guy for not accepting it? K2 hasn't rejected the offer because they don't want the fight. They rejected the offer with the intention to negotiate a fairer deal.

This bull**** is getting old. The community should put pressure on the fighters to fight, not to concede and make them move up.

We want a fight, we don't want this advise.
Cuz Canelo has moved up to his third weight division. He started at WW, moved to JMW, and now is at MW. GGG has only fought at MW. Hence why HOF fighters are starting to call ggg out.

what Jones is saying is...... stop hiding behind your promoter, you hypejob..... are you a fighter, or what..... ?

        SteveM had a good point.

many others moved up, that did not " save " boxing

what Golovkin badly needs to do, is to start living up to his hype

I mean seriously, dow does this make boxing look?..... the supposed feared middleweight, P4P, killer, blah, blah..... is petrified to take any kind of risk..... when it comes to actually wanting fights he hardly embraced even mid-level opponents like Saunders/Jacobs, but he sure hugged little Kell Brook to death.

Jones is right, but I don't agree that moving up will make any difference..... the pacifist simply needs to start making the fights that he has been avoiding..... Golovkin is only fooling the casuals.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. I get the financial pursuit. However, at some point, you have to seek challenges. Canelo is it. After that, move up. You are clearly the best at your division, so why waste your time beating people you're highly favored against? With that being said, that applies to all boxers. Face the next challenge if you can't get the big payday. Move on and continue to solidify your career. Crawford comes to mind. I'm a huge Crawford fan, but why is he still at 140? What does that benefit him? Sometimes, you have to make your own opportunities instead of waiting for someone to give it to you.

I gotta feeling boxing's problems run a bit deeper than that. Principally best fights don't get made often and timely enough and also best boxers often fight once or maximum twice a year. Compare to UFC.

Even when a fight like Ward and Kovalev gets made it's promoted lousily. "Boxing" should be shouting from the roof tops about this match-up - instead we hardly hear anything in the mainstream press.
Jones actually went up 4 too. He lost at 200 attempt though and Floyd, Manny, Oscar and Roy Jones did save boxing.

You have all these guys who say Genady doesn't have to go anywhere, but Canelo is a coward for not moving up?? Sad.

                    good point

also, an earlier poster said..... what about Canelo, why doesn't Jones ask him to move up?

simply put, Canelo has already made big fights, and he has already made concessions TWICE.....

I know exactly whats up..... Golovkin is solely relying on beating Hopkins record for his legacy..... that's it!

don't expect anything else..... there will be no move to 168, and no marquee fights..... just a list of no-hoper defences for the WBA interim title..... if they were about that life, they would have done something already..... but nope

                    Jones is 100% right

Golovkin needs to take a page out of Ward's book

Ward > Golovkin, and it aint even close..... and yet, a certain fanbase seems to see it the opposite..... THAT is what is wrong with boxing, the fans who drive this sport have dreadfully low expectations/demands from particular fighters

the disappointing PPV between Pac/Floyd (result-wise, not numbers) apparently tainted the market..... now numbers are down, now punters are being more selective..... and yet, how could Golovkin's recent actions possibly help..... he offered Saunders 1.5mil, he called for an early purse-bid with Jacobs, and he totally refused to fight the little red kid for 10mil LMAO

Jones is right..... the guy who is apparently our very best product is, meh.....

Lol I like how Roy's words get blown up pretty quickly. Roy said if GGG doesn't get the fight with Canelo, he should move up.

I don't think anyone is saying that GGG shouldn't move up at some point. People are saying he should move up AFTER he fights Canelo. If Canelo didn't want the fight, then sure, he can move up. But Canelo's camp says they want the fight, meaning GGG may (and probably will) get the fight with Canelo.
