In a fight that has a least 100m up for grabs, GGG is entitled to a huge chunk.
70/30.
Canelo just made 3m. Who else is he gonna fight that hew will make upwards of 70m.
Think k2 is gonna lay down in negotiations is silly, they know Canelo that they're winning the pr battle.
Who else can GGG fight that will be on US PPV? Canelo has time on his side. He can make more overall for less risky fights for the next decade fighting on cinco de mayo and Mexican independence weekend and none of those fights have to include GGG. That fight is not a $100 million dollar fight. Its just above Canelo/Cotto in terms of interest. And if it is Canelo will be the one dictating terms. GGG and K2 can try and act like they are above their B side status, never get the fight, and lose out on millions that Canelo will make over time. Last night showed all this belt nonsense isn't hurting Canelo at all because most casual fans don't hold GGG on the pedestal that his 10 fans on NSB do. Get real. Sooner or later K2 will have to be honest with GGG and take what's offered. Fight doesn't happen any other way and it hurts GGG more than Canelo.
They avoided a purse bid (would have been at a full 160 pounds) but offered +$10 mil mil? The most likely scenario I would believe that happened is if they didn't ask for a 160 weight, which is very plausible.
Okay...once and for all. "8 figures plus ppv upside plus 160 offer or at least contact them back with a counter offer they had over 30 days" sounds good and all but it's an effen fantasy when it's going to happen in September 2017. It's like hey...I got some real good azz candy and I know you're drooling over it....BUT I'll give it to you next year. WTF. If Canelo wants to fight. Lets fight.
That's not true. Because if the fight it's going to happen in December 2016 will be in 155 pounds.
Canelo needs an adaptation to fight fully in 160 pounds.
500 million could have watched his last fight and it wouldn't mean shit. It's how much money you bring to the table when discussing the split and Canelo is the far bigger draw in the market that matters, the US.
Check and mate.....Isaac Clarke with the Plasma Cutter.
When did they contact him and what was the deal? Props to them if they sent a good offer but its questionable.
Could be true could be false, GB is pretty good at spinning things. Why is this the first we've heard of this offer?
Listen, like my gradma, rest in peace used to say, there's no more blind that the one who doesn't wants to see, so by your logic If Loeffer hasn't denied anything and you still question gbp words then you supposing both sides are lying wich I wouldn't be surprised.
I don't know what the hell is happening between doors, but I tell you something, GGG is a businessman and he's a liar too, so as Canelo.
Only way this fight happens is if GGG and K2 take whatever offer they get from Canelo. They won't dictate any terms. The longer they wait the worse the offer will get as GGG doesn't have time on his side.
Now with that said GGG should not be disrespected with the offer. 10-15 million flat fee should be offered with no PPV split.
GGG deserves a split of the revenue. Like 65/35 seems fair(Canelo makes 2$ to GGG's 1$). Canelo prolly did 300k buys his last fight this one does 1m for sure. To deny the value GGG would bring is lame.
Because they offered the fight earlier this year at a catch weight below 160 and GGG camp is on record saying they refuse to fight canelo at any weight but 160 and would not negotiate weight. I can provide quotes from GGG, his trainer and promoter all saying they won't drop even 1 pound. Canelo fights at 154/155 right now. Since they don't want to come to his weight GB said we will move up and be ready for 160 next year and here is the contract. What is the problem now from the fraud GGG? Ward needed a year to get ready for 175 too difference is Kovalev ain't no bytch. If GGG would of lived up to 154 or 168 we could of had the fight earlier hell could of had Ward this year too. Funny it's always something from the GGG camp stopping big fights from happening.
There's no hurry to accept the first offer when the fight's a year away and both guys have multiple fights in front of them. Let Golovkin beat Jacobs (Dec) & Saunders (Feb) and let Canelo have a fight at 160lbs (May).
If the offer was for Canelo's next fight, then it'd be a different story.
