Why do some posters hate Gennady Golovkin so much?

how many time have i got to tell you, ward is 175, you cant duck fighters who are two weight classes heavier. He wanted ducknelo at 160, you know, seen as they were both middleweight champs. And lara ffs, you know my thoughts on that already

Ward was willing to fight g string at 168. After accepting 168 for both Chavez and Froch, team g string insisted upon 164 for Ward. team g string flat out knew Ward couldn't make 164, straight up duck. With that said, it's acceptable for a mw (g string) to fight a ww (Brook) but not for a mw to fight a lhwt? Double standard?

While I too believe that Canelo should have fought g string at 160, this fight would have made the most $$$$ available to g string and they passed! Unbelievable!

Even I don't believe that Lara would beat g string. Doesn't change the fact that Lara would be far and away g strings best opponent and team g string won't even consider it.

I am a big fan of both Canelo and GGG but facts are facts no matter how you try to spin it. GGG wanted to fight Canelo for the WBC 160 world title at the standard, traditional and correct 160 pounds. Canelo didn't want to fight GGG so he gave up his 160 pound WBC world title and returned to 154 and those are the historical and undeniable facts. When is your beloved Lara going to attempt to unify 154 by fighting Andrate instead of fighting guys like Ishe Smith and other guys not even rated in the top 50? Canelo and GGG are both mainly white guys except that GGG is part Oriental and Canelo might have Indian blood in him. They are not so different in race that racism has much to do with anything except in your imagination.

Fighters are ducking him left & right, because they fear he'll destroy them & their careers. But rather than acknowledge that the man is a badass, hater "fans" take every opportunity to call him a coward & hype job, because he won't disadvantage himself by either moving down or up. They say they want to see him "challenged", but they really just want to see him lose, so that their argument of him being a hype job has teeth.

They dont care if GGG faces other elite fighters or not, (we know every top MW fighter so far has ducked him), all that matters is that he is a non black/kazakh fighter who would beat any black/*insert your home nation here* fighter, and such reality creates a serious case of butthurt and jealously among his non-fans
