Why do some posters hate Gennady Golovkin so much?

He's not a privileged boxer, he had to move to a new country to fight.

He's never enjoyed home advantage. He's had world title fights in several countries. He's never needed referees to permit him to foul, or to protect him.

He's never been a prima donna who demands all the advantages. He doesn't badmouth other boxers, although he occasionally responds when they talk about him. He's never demanded his opponent wear gloves with extra padding.

He's a nice guy outside the ring. He doesn't beat up women.

He doesn't clamp his opponents arms, he doesn't clinch much, he doesn't head butt. He doesn't run from his opponents.

He wins his fights by knockout, not dull decisions. He's exciting to watch and good for the sport.

Why do some posters hate him so much?

Dude is doing something right to have half this board hatin on him. Same with any other fighter who dominates, you will have those who love them and those who hate them. Enjoy him whuile he lasts I say. I can tell you from experience they come and go in a hurry.

its only on this forum where hes hated. Saw sky in UK have made a P4P votable list, pushing it hard with all the recent pundit P4P lists. Golovkin is number 1 by a mile lol, and clowns on here say that no casuals have heard of him.

They hate Golovkin, because there's an aura of invincibility around him that they simply cannot accept nor comprehend. He has the highest KO ratio in his division and one of the highest in the sport. Fighters are ducking him left & right, because they fear he'll destroy them & their careers. But rather than acknowledge that the man is a badass, hater "fans" take every opportunity to call him a coward & hype job, because he won't disadvantage himself by either moving down or up. They say they want to see him "challenged", but they really just want to see him lose, so that their argument of him being a hype job has teeth.
