Salido is promoted by Dela Hoya and Lomachenko is promoted by Arum, so Loma's team should have no business in what Salido wants. On the other hand, Salido should be pestering Dela Hoya, not anyone else.

Their managers are talking. That's how fights get made

HBO and Arum needs Loma to become a draw quick. He's getting paid over 800k a fight but bringing in Rigo ratings and can't sell arenas. Beating Salido will avenge his loss and make him a bigger name

edit: I thought you said Sosa not Vargas. He didn't mention Vargas as a potential opponent. He said Pedraza, Corrales, or Sosa
I agree with what you're saying on Sosa. I think Sosa is only an option because Arum probably thinks he could get him to take a much smaller amount of money then some of these other guys. Look, I like Salido, I agree he's a bigger draw than Lomachenko and I would love to see a 2nd fight. But my feeling is, what is next for Salido if he doesn't fight Lomachenko? Even if he's not getting the money you think he deserves against Lomachenko (which I agreed with you on) where is he going to get more money then that? The point I'm trying to make is that Lomachenko has more options then Salido, so he feels he can make the demands.

Honest question to you, if he did theoretically fight Vargas in a unification at Stubhub, do you think that fight would not do well?

Salido is Zanfer not Golden Boy.

It would do better than Sosa, Coralles, Pedraza, and Walters but not better than Salido. But they're offering Salido less than they offered Martinez. Vargas is a champ so he's gotta get more than Martinez.

That sucks they're talking **** to the media. Means this probably isn't happening anytime soon.

It's been refreshing to watch Olympic boxing the last couple of days, in the pros its just a bunch of great fighters rarely ever risking fighting each other.

It's been nice to watch a series of quick, good, mandated scraps.

I thought about it a bit more and realized why Lomachenko doesn't want to pay Salido. By over paying him he would set a bad precedent and then fighters like Rigo and Walters will have excuses for not fighting. They can say "well he overpaid for Salido, why doesn't he overpay to fight us, is he ducking us"?

Loma shouldn't have to break the bank every time to get big fights.

Its not his problem he has a good manager and they don't.

Who has he broken the bank for? They're offering Salido less money than Martinez. The only bank getting broken is Lomacheko who gets paid over 800k a fight and does Rigo type attendance and ratings. Salido puts butts in the seats and does good ratings. And Salido beat Lomachenko.

It's not Lomas problem that he had a great manager who negotiated a hell of a deal for him. That's their problem. He shouldn't have to take less money than he's contractually obligated just to make big fights.

Its like a 6 year nfl veteran complaining that the number 1 overall draft pick gets paid more than him.

That's life. Get a betterror manager who can negotiate deals. Don't hold up against Loma.

Klimas logic makes sense. Especially if you figure that Loma has nothing to gain by fighting Salido at this point.
