Damn, Loma can't even get to fight the best fighters in his own division yet Rigo should move up for less money to face a fighter who draws as much as him and doesn't have a signature win yet.

Thats a damn shame cuz if this was any other fighter they would be calling this a duck.
In the U.S. people are programmed from birth to over-value white work and under-value the work of everybody else. That's why you could have a white man and a black man do the exact same job but the white man gets paid more. It's not hard to look up the statistics of how much less non-white people get paid on the dollar compared to their white counterparts for the same exact job. Same s**t applies to boxing.
That's why these ****** Loma**** fans or Little G fans or whoever have b**ch fits when their fighter doesn't get everything their way.
Salido beat Lomachenko, draws more fans, and gets better ratings but Loma**** "deserves" more money.
Ca$hnelo has a way better resume than Little G, draws more fans, and gets better ratings but Little G should call the shots.
I really don't even blame their fans for being so clueless. They've been ingrained to over-value white work their whole lives and they apply it to everything. That's all they know.
You can break it down for them like you did but it goes in one ear and out of the other.

Salido beat Loma. Has better numbers, and is a much better fighter to watch for your money! Most of the boxing experts go out of their way to watch Salido vs. Vargas. None will do that for Loma vs. Sosa, ped, or corrales. Over Vargas vs. Salido...Dude LOST needs to realize he's the B-Side. Hell they couldn't even make Walters/Loma fight!Originally posted by BigZ44 View PostThe answer is I don't know. I know you don't think HBO will buy them, but Klimas sounded pretty confident. Maybe it's just a bluff, IDK. HBO so far has praised Lomachenko to high heaven, so it would seem to me that they want to invest in him. If they can get someone like Corralles or Sosa to take less than 100 K why wouldn't they?
My question is, would Salido get more money for Vargas 2, then what he is being offered to fight Lomachenko right now? If the answer is yes, then he should tell Loma to suck it and fight Vargas again. If not, then he has to decide what he's gonna do.Originally posted by Derranged View PostJust give Salido what he wants. I'm confident Lomachenko beats him this time and that the ref won't allow Salido to get away with so many low blows.
Let's give HBO boxing fans what they want Salido vs Miura FOTY written all over it !! Lomachenko is in the rear view mirror @steveucnlive

Paying Lomachenko big money to beat bums, creates issues when it is time for Lomachenko to fight a better known opponent. Guys like Salido, and Walters, expect big money, if Lomachenko, who has no following, is getting 800,000 to beat up a bum. That's Arum's fault. No name boxer who values himself, is going to fight Lomachenko for chump change. Offering Walters 500,000 to fight Lomachenko was ridiculous when Walters is the action fighter between the two, and had beaten the bigger name. Salido, mugged Lomachenko already. He expects to be paid if they rematch. If you don't want to pay him, then move along to the next scrub you can pay your chump change to.
Lomachenko signed with TR in 2013, here is the history of his purses:
His debut vs. Ramirez he got: $100,000
Against Salido he got: $200,000 + $15,000 (from Salido missing weight)
Against Gary Russell Jr., He got a 60-40 split from a purse bid won by GBP. Because the WBO rules have it that if a fight is staged in American, the 'foreign' fighter is entitled to a higher split.
So against Gary Russell Jr. he got: $631,500
Against Piryapino: ??? (Can't find it)
Then on April 2015, Lomachenko extended his contract with Top Rank and ended up on the May-Pac undercard.
His purse vs. Rodriguez:???? (Can't find it)
His purse vs. Koasicha: $750,000
His purse vs. Martinez: $850,000
Lomachenko had a great manager who negotiated a great deal for him. It's not his problem that other fighters have incompetent managers who take whatever is given to them.
If Lomachenko starts giving away huge portions of his purse then every fighter that steps into the ring with him is going to be asking for a piece.
Lomachenko shouldn't have to give away money that he's contractually obligated to make in order to make big fights.
If they're unhappy with is being offered then don't sign the contract. Blame your manager for signing a **** deal, not Loma.

Salido...the people's champion...guaranteed to fight, always underpaid, and most of the times gets ripped off by bad decisions...I once read an article here in Puerto Rico and it showed a picture of Salido behind a lawn mower mowing his front yard...and that was after a fight..wow!!
