If it does around the same as Martinez why would HBO buy it? That fight was a ratings and attendance flop. Vargas vs. Salido is the leading FOTY. They can make more money fighting each other than they can make fighting Lomachenko. And do better ratings and attendance too. Lomachenko needs them and he really needs Salido to avenge that loss. Low-balling Salido like that looks like a duck in my book. I mean you admit Salido vs. Lomachenko would do the best ratings and the best attendance but you think he should get paid less than Martinez. That doesn't make sense. If the fight is making more money the fighters are supposed to make more money

Brother, you misinterpreted some of the stuff I was saying. First, I think Vargas/Lomachenko would do much better then Martinez/Lomachenko. What I said was that Vargas' purse for that potential fight would probably be similar to Martinez's purse. Loma's team is probably thinking there will be more demand for him after the Martinez fight, that is up for debate.

I agree Vargas/Salido was a potential FOTY. But can they make more money fighting each other than fighting Lomachenko? As you showed, Salido did not make a lot of money for that fight the first time. If he can make more money in a Vargas rematch, then by all means take that fight and tell Lomachenko to go to hell.

Third, I never said I think Salido SHOULD get less money, but Lomachenko's team can argue that Martinez got more money because he was the champ at the time, by virtue of his win and draw against Salido I might add. Now Lomachenko is the champ, so he feels he can dictate terms.

You keep arguing about what Salido deserves and I have been in agreement with you. But, unfortunately in this business, it's more about what you can get. I think this is where we are in disagreement. You believe Salido can get more money taking other fights, I am not so sure. And that's what Lomachenko's team is betting on.

Can Salido get more money in another fight is the real question? If he can, then either take that fight or hold Lomachenko for ransom with it. If not, then what? Take less money to fight someone else? The Loma team certainly feels like they have other guys they can get to take the money that Salido is being offered. Does Salido feel like he has other options where he can get more money than Lomachenko is offering??

Ok lemme strip everthing down and put it in the simplest terms. Klimas said Lomachenko can go fight Sosa, Pedraza, or Corralles. Which one of those fights will HBO buy? Salido can fight Vargas again. HBO will surely buy that fight.

Is this guy SERIOUS!!! Salido beat Loma. Has better numbers, and is a much better fighter to watch for your money! Most of the boxing experts go out of their way to watch Salido vs. Vargas. None will do that for Loma vs. Sosa, ped, or corrales. Over Vargas vs. Salido...Dude LOST needs to realize he's the B-Side. Hell they couldn't even make Walters/Loma fight!

already beat him and is consistenly a btter draw than lomo...there is a huge misconception that lomo has a lot of fans lol...he's not even on kovalev's level...fans seem to alwasy wanna group him with hbo euro push aka ggg...na this dude dont sell ish...fights on pacman undercards and still has no base of fans..

Yeah at first I liked it but he never actually does it, if he offers Corralles 500k he could be unified in November but nope.

see we are all stuck on purses...corralles ppl likely like the thought of 500k...but if they win im sure they want hbo to pick up his fights and promote him..but cheapBO isnt having it and fighters aint buying that crap.

The answer is I don't know. I know you don't think HBO will buy them, but Klimas sounded pretty confident. Maybe it's just a bluff, IDK. HBO so far has praised Lomachenko to high heaven, so it would seem to me that they want to invest in him. If they can get someone like Corralles or Sosa to take less than 100 K why wouldn't they?

My question is, would Salido get more money for Vargas 2, then what he is being offered to fight Lomachenko right now? If the answer is yes, then he should tell Loma to suck it and fight Vargas again. If not, then he has to decide what he's gonna do.

I like Lomencheko a lot, I think he is a special fighter and i think he would beat Salido in a re-match BUT his team is doing no justice by lashing out at Salido like this. This is a quick way to get Loma not liked. At this point Loma needs this fight more than Salido does. Loma should go build a base in Germany or something like the Klitchkos did.
