Not sure that is true because Andre Dirrell has been saying he wants Golovkin since 2013.

As would Ramirez..... you just know that, right ?

The only accurate comment in your post was, " I don't think..... "
Andre Dirrell has been saying he wants Golovkin since 2013. Furthermore no one knows if any Jr Middleweight and/or Super Middleweight would have accepted the same or similar terms as Brook because none were contacted. This is the issue boxing fans have with Golovkin. Constant claims of being avoided and constant claims of who he would have fought and who he might fight in the future while actually fighting clearly inferior boxers and now a career Welterweight. The "Big Drama Show" is looking like the "Big Smoke and Mirrors Show".

Middleweight isnt exactly murderer's row and the only current top ten middleweight he has faced is lemieux...after he blitzes Brook, he needs to step TF up, not in weight but at least fight a top ten guy from 160
Degale would indeed be the best fighter that trip-G has faced. And yes, the middleweight div. is as poor as I can remember. If he could take out Canelo and Jacobs then job done and move up to 168. You won't catch me biggin up Golovkin's resume - he's a big fish in a small pond.

Yep, MW division is pisspoor as well, no doubt. There are no Haglers, Hopkins, Toneys, McClellans, Jones, Jacksons, MaCallums, Norris etc. Makes me hanker for the old days.

Yea, but remember: September 10 in London. Dirrell is an American with zero fiscal advantages in the UK. The negotiation process would have had to start all over again. They would have had to scrap the whole event, & they probably could have gotten another fighter to fight somewhere in the states. But by now they're losing more time & more money by doing so. Viable options is what I argue about. GGG's team was looking for viable British fighters to make his UK debut with. That's why they traveled to London after BJS won the WBO, to scope out British boxers & gauge if they'd take a fight with them. That was DeGale, that was Eubank Jr, & that was BJS. Brook was the one who signed. Call it a mismatch if you want. But it wasn't a cherry pick. In order to cherry pick, a boxer needs to have more options than what was available to GGG.

Wrong again, hype man. GGG's team had run out of viable options after they were jerked around in negotiations by Canelo first, then the Eubanks after. A hard date was set: September 10. A hard venue was set: The O2 Arena in London. If they wanted to appease the critics & get an Andre Dirrell or a Lara, it wouldn't be a viable option in the UK. They would have to scrap the entire event & start all over again. Like I said, Brook was the only willing British fighter & he signed in 48 hours. He signed the contract. That's way more effective in getting a fight than calling someone out. Go back to work, hype man.

Have a look at how Haymon operates - some fighters (e.g. Wade) are regarded as expendable whilst others are not allowed anywhere near other networks
