GGG was the mandatory for the WBC. GGG fought Wade as the IBF's mandatory. And the WBA mandatory is Jacobs. There are no mandatories for him right now unless Jacobs wants to step up for a December bout. At the moment, GGG's team is free to pursue names & titles.

What about bantamweight? I think cruiserweight is worse than either MW division. Let's not exclude strawweight & minimum weight in worse division discussions. It's exaggeration to say that MW is the worst division in boxing.

DeGale's been saying the Jack fight will be in Vegas. You would think the most money could be made in London, but with Jack's relationship to Floyd and a nice site-fee from the MGM, it looks like Vegas. Steve Kim then reported last week on his pod-cast, that the rumor is DeGale's asking for $5mill for the fight, probably b/c he wanted UK and now he has to settle for Jack's backyard where Floyd has some pull.

But if that fight doesn't come off by September, then the chances for a DeGale/Golovkin fight could go way up. Not sure how popular DeGale is in the UK anymore, but I have to imagine Eddie would want to get a nice big fight out of DeGale before the end of their deal.
Now that's what I'm talking about. Real information. Someone who is doing the work to become the most informed boxing fan they can be. I applaud you, sir.

I just don't think the window was big enough for a GGG/DeGale fight to be made. And if there's going to be a GGG/DeGale fight in the UK, that will do well financially. Worth noting that boxing fans would probably be tuning in as well. Boxing fans would have been happy with either fight actually. I don't mind a DeGale/Jack fight in Vegas because that's in my backyard. Definitely worth the price if it happens.

I know Eubank's next fight is his last with Eddie, hopefully it's against Murray, though I would think that fight could headline on its own? I also watched a recent interview with Callum Smith saying his next move is on hold due to the hang-up on DeGale/Jack. He's anxious to get Jack before DeGale does.
Well, if that's the case, then it's fair game to say that there wasn't any quality 168 fighters who would have taken the GGG fight in September.

Suuuurrre...they wanted to fight a WW, despite the 1st three viable options saying no. Lack of willing quality opponents is not an indicator that they're cherry picking.

After 10 years as a pro, casual-fans are STILL accepting lies and excuses.

I wish that fanbase actually realized how ****** they look.

If Golovkin was even close to what they say he is, he would have more meaningful wins than he does excuses...... but nope, no meaningful wins, just TONNES of excuses..... count them all.....

..... they used every excuse in the book to avoid Ward, Mora, Lara..... and the only reason why they provided every excuse in the book is because they did not have 1 genuine reason.....

..... and nobody will ever understand why they refused to negotiate on the weight with Cotto/Canelo after running their mouth for FOUR YEARS with that "anyone from 154-168" line.

I think I can safely say it now..... the blueprint is clear..... they will NEVER take a dangerous fight EVER!..... they will lame their way to Hopkins record by beating cans, and they will avoid every possible threat.

Gennady may take on a dangerous opponent after he beats Hpkins record, not sure..... but all I see from him now is..... spoiled protected b1tch.
Ok hype man, enough with the revisionist history. If you had done the work like I told you to, you would know that GGG's career didn't really start until he got over promotional woes & signed on with K2 in 2009. Since then, he went from an unknown, to the most feared boxer in the world as the unified Middleweight champion and the fastest growing fanbase in boxing with a top-3 p4p ranking to boot. And he would have a lot more names on his resume if every quality fighter near his weight would stop ducking him.

And hype man, how many times do we have to go over this: Cotto paid step-aside fees then went back down to 154, Canelo vacated after calling GGG into the ring then ran down to 154, Lara's manager admitted he never formally contacted K2 about a GGG fight, and Mora tried to compete at 160 & failed. All those names are 154 fighters except Canelo. Your list of potential opponents are letting you down, hype man. You need to go back & do more work.

Forget the 168 lies..... what about the Kell Brook lies ?

On what planet has Kell Brook ever been referred to as " a draw " ?

How on earth can this be described as a " money-fight " for lil'G ?

Khan is twice the draw Brook is, even more..... and Canelo is TWICE the draw Khan is, even more..... so Golovkin walked away from life-changing money when he refused to negotiate on the weight with Canelo, instead preferring to fight an unknown welter.
Does a money fight sell out in 11 minutes?! Go back to work, hype man.

Yeah but the WBC is coming up on a year shortly. And he's has to get permission fro the WBA to fight Brook. Who knows what there gonna demand to let the fight go through??? Maybe an immediate fight with one of their guys? They sure seem to be taking sweet time on the Jacobs/GGG fight. And why is the WBA even ALLOWING Mora to fight Jacobs??? Who is even RANKED by them in the top 15 and was KTFO in 2 rounds!

I can see them demanding GGG fight Blanco after Brook.

Yeah but those divisions are never really that good! Middleweight used to be one of the BEST!!! And there stuck between some REALLY solid divisions like LHW and SWW.
