Lol. What he was basically trying to do was promote the fight using Eddie Hearn's money and connections, and give the proceeds to his son.

This isn't the first time Brook has pulled out of a fight, Rios, Chaves, and Bradley.
Why do you Americans keep pushing your lies???

Chavez - Brook hurt his rib in sparring so had to pull the fight. They tried to reschedule the fight but he had another mandatory come up. He was out of the ring for 10 months due to the injury.

Rios - He was the one to pull the fight, not Brook. The money was right, but he had a problem with the rematch clause. Hearn later went back with a contract without the clause but Rios still walked away.

When did he pull out of a Bradley fight????

Same thing Khan said when he fought Ginger, and we all know what happened.

GGG is the one that's tied to an exclusive HBO deal so he has to make the fight.
You can't justify Vargas getting over 2 Mill no matter which way you cut it. So stop playing ******.

Brook did not hurt his ribs. That fight was cancelled when Klitschko vs. Fury was postponed because Brook was going to fight on Sky before they broadcast that fight. Why didn't he reschedule the fight if it was due to injury?

Rios pulled out of the fight when Brook started stalling as usual. Rios was ready to go. Rios is always ready to fight anybody at anytime. Brook on the other hand....

He wasn't getting over 2 mil he was getting 1.7 mil and I don't have to justify anything. Hearn thought that's what he was worth because that's what he gave him. Vargas was ready to go. Brook pulled out again.

To Motor City Cobra's first post...

Hahahahahahahahahha... Yeah, Rios talking crap is really a great source. It was the rematch clause, not the money. That's a fact. When Hearn went back without it in the contract Rios still walked. That's also a fact.

Are you ******??? Brook couldn't reschedule due to the mandatory getting in the way. Mosley himself confirmed the injury on twitter because he knew who the fighter was who inflicted it.

                You're a joke

You're forgetting the money that Arum was supposedly getting. Hearn confirmed it was over 2 Mill.

Hearn didn't think he was worth that at all. That's the price Vargas demanded. He wouldn't budge on it. The biggest pay day he had ever had was $600'000. He over-priced himself big time.

when everyone is in agreement about how a fight will go it usually turns out right everyone knew khan would look good for a few rounds make a mistake then be put to sleep

brook is going to handle himself well for the first few rounds but is going to be broken down and take a couple of knees before the ref waves it off to save further punishment but its win win for all involved from a promoters point of view golovkin gets uk exposure and involved in a decent PPV buy rate and brook looks like a fearless warrior

Don't come to me with your opinion. Come to me with facts

Arum had been in deep talks to match his WBO welterweight titleholder Jessie Vargas with Brook later this year in a big welterweight unification match. Vargas had signed off on all the terms and was waiting for Brook’s side to finalize the agreement. But Arum said he hadn’t heard from Brook promoter Eddie Hearn in some time, and Hearn never alerted him he was going in a different direction, according to Arum. “We were (talking with them) but they’ve gone silent in the last week,” Arum said in a phone interview. “So that may very well be why.”

The decision by British voters on June 23 to exit the European Union — “Brexit” — complicated the deal in that Brook’s purse had to be modified, Arum said. “The only issue was we had a deal with Eddie and then we had the “Brexit” thing and then the question was — we had to adjust the purse and everything,” Arum commented. “But we were in the middle of doing that and then we didn’t hear from them.”
