But Kell can't ever have an unbiased/fan perspective, and he might be the only person on either side of the Atlantic ocean that doesn't at least reluctantly think he is going to get wrecked.

This fight could unravel Kell Brook if it goes as badly as it could. There's a lot for him to gain too though. A win would be a truly legendary upset, and even just going 12 rounds to a decision loss would make his stock explode.

I think he gets stopped in 5.
Nobody expects Kell to be able to beat Golovkin, and nobody will think any less of him when he loses. If he puts up a good show, he could come out of this with better options going forward than he had before. And he will be a lot richer too!

Brook has no chance of winning this fight, he is undersized, doesnt have the legs, the power, the chin or the weight experience to win this

Its a shame Hearn purposely ****ed Eubank over...
Ok English. Your lad will get another chance after Brook. Just don't be so silly with the demands from Hearn next time. And make sure you have a nice clean white towel ready in the corner!

I'm not going to rain on Brook for stepping up (literally), but ultimately he was offered substantially more money (and the safeguard of his IBF title) by dumping Vargas and fighting Golovkin. I couldn't see Brook taking this risk if he was going to get the same pay marked for the Vargas fight. As mentioned by others, this is purely a business event, made to salvage a planned promotion that went sideways.

What a moron. As soon as GGG clocks him he's going to sleep.

I get that its financially beneficial to all parties but to go from Saunders, to Canelo, to Eubanks to Brook its just like the blind leading the blind. I'd much rather at this point have seen them call Saunders bluff by sweetening the pie than to see this fight happen. Public perception is just as important as purse in this era of the sport.

So Hearn couldn't afford the fight just like Loeffler can't afford the Saunders or Jacobs fight. So why is it acceptable reason for Brook not to fight Vargas but not an acceptable reason for Jacobs or Saunders not to fight GGG? Brook is getting what Saunders and Jacobs wanted to fight GGG. GGG is the one that's tied to an exclusive HBO deal so he has to make the fight.

Sr trying to become a boxing promoter at the expense of everyone else is not negotiating. "Crazy" and "******" would be more appropriate titles.

The public are not knowledgable boxing fans though. Most mainstream sports journalists arn't either! Looking past this fight ... if it goes down well with Sky Sports customers and general sports fans in the UK, there will be a lot better chance of seeing GGG fight Saunders over here, and maybe DeGale or Groves too. What those match-ups need in order to make them a reality is money. The UK PPV income from Sky could provide it. It doesn't look like that's going to happen with HBO in the States.
