Golovkin stands to double his highest ever purse for this fight. What promoter in their right mind would turn down an offer like that for a fight that their man is almost certain to win?

Why is this an acceptable excuse for Brook but not for Jacobs or Saunders? Vargas was good with his purse. It was Hearn's responsibility to satisfy Brook. Why would Hearn even allow the process to go that far if he didn't have Brook signed on? The Vargas fight was agreed to a month before the Brook-GGG fight was announced. This isn't the first time Brook has pulled out of a fight, Rios, Chaves, and Bradley.

Well so to you it doesnt take balls to move up two division and take on a fighter that no one else in his division wants to take on? OK cool

Four out of those five guys you mentioned that said it take balls to face are not possible fights for Brook. Floyd and Pac are retired and not possible to fight. Khan has said he doesnt wont fight Brook until he fights someone credible(guess what hes fighting GGG now) do you think Khan will step up now. And he has already beaten Porter.

Plus Thurman just fought Porter and is by the looks of it, hes taking his time for his next encounter. Garcia isnt ready to fight anyother welterweight beside Berto and Spence still is a green fighter.

So by the looks of it, Brook is displaying huge balls to step up to GGG.

To all you guys who were getting excited about Golovkin vs Eubank and are now crying out in indignation because "Brook is a WW doe" - Kell Brook has exactly the same chance of beating GGG as Jnr would have had ... ZERO. But of the two, he deserves the pay day more and has a more experienced and seasoned team advising him and looking after his interests.

Kell wants the fight, and that's his decision, not his freaking dad's!

            Absolute rubbish...

Eubank Jr fights at the weight, he's big, he's strong and has a great chin.

Brook doesnt fight at the weight, he's smaller, he doesnt have the best chin.

Brook could end up in a coma thats how much of a mismatch this is.

Whether Eubank Jr loses to GGG or not, its a fight between 2 men who campaign in the same division, it is not comparable to this freak show

Kell Brook has less of a chance here than Eubank would have had, but I'll concede it's not by a huge margin or anything. Both of them are the right kind of confident- bordering on just plain arrogance- to mean what they say in the lead up and to really bring their best fight to GGG.

But Kell can't ever have an unbiased/fan perspective, and he might be the only person on either side of the Atlantic ocean that doesn't at least reluctantly think he is going to get wrecked.

This fight could unravel Kell Brook if it goes as badly as it could. There's a lot for him to gain too though. A win would be a truly legendary upset, and even just going 12 rounds to a decision loss would make his stock explode.

I think he gets stopped in 5.

Vargas was good with his purse, but after Brexit the value of the £ fell. And though Vargas' pay, in BPS, didn't change, in $$, it wouldn't have been worth as much, so he wanted Hearn to up his purse accordingly.

Brook is in no more danger of ending up in a coma than Eunbank Jnr would have been, probably less, in fact. Eubank's size, strength and chin would only have served to allow him to absorb more punishment from GGG than was good for his long term health, imo. It certainly wouldn't have helped him to win.

If you think Jnr had a hope in hell of beating Golovkin you are as crazy as his old man!

Gosh, people are overanalyzing brooks challenge.
He's not doing anything no one has done before so why all the gossip? Noit everyone does it, maybe because not everyone has confidence. Just cos Floyd didn't want to jump up 2 divisions. He bloated jmm 2 divisions though.

Eubank Jr will beat GGG, hopefully GGG will man up

Brook has no chance of winning this fight, he is undersized, doesnt have the legs, the power, the chin or the weight experience to win this

Its a shame Hearn purposely ****ed Eubank over...
