This is Kell Brook on July 4th saying he had agreed to the terms of the Vargas fight and it was going to be announced withing 48 hrs. So obviously Kell Brook was ok with the money Vargas was making. As well as Hearn. Come to me with facts not your opinion.

Canelo has a ton of "explosive power" when he fights glass jaw guys like Khan and Kirkland. What happens when he fights someone like Cotto, Lara, or anyone else? Nothing, that's what... His power is average unless he fights guys way way smaller or glass jaws like the other two mentioned.GGG will carry Kell for a couple of rounds...then eventually unload
This is nothing but sparring for GGG, he could take out Brook in 1 round, if he wanted.
But GGG will entertain his fans and carry Brook for as long as Brook can take the punishment.
GGG doesnt have explosive power like Canelo, but he has heavy hands that drain your energy and slowly break you down.
Canelo wants to take your head off....GGG wants to punish youComment

Hey man I agree. There was more money on this table than there was for Vargas.I'm not going to rain on Brook for stepping up (literally), but ultimately he was offered substantially more money (and the safeguard of his IBF title) by dumping Vargas and fighting Golovkin. I couldn't see Brook taking this risk if he was going to get the same pay marked for the Vargas fight. As mentioned by others, this is purely a business event, made to salvage a planned promotion that went sideways.
But other middleweights are ducking the kind of payday that Brook is getting t fight GGG. Eubanks turned the same deal down that Brook is getting. What does that say about the other middleweights?Comment

I dont think that is going to be relevant. If he was boiling down to get to 147 before it will be impossible once he has put on muscle for this fight.I'm not going to rain on Brook for stepping up (literally), but ultimately he was offered substantially more money (and the safeguard of his IBF title) by dumping Vargas and fighting Golovkin. I get the impression that Saunders is not as well known among the Brit public as either Eubank or Brook. Hearn puts on the bigger shows compared to Warren and I'm guessing there's just not enough money to keep Saunders -4 million GBP - and Golovkin happy. So assuming GGG beats Brook convincingly then his star will shine brighter in the UK and maybe they can make the Saunders fight then.I get that its financially beneficial to all parties but to go from Saunders, to Canelo, to Eubanks to Brook its just like the blind leading the blind. I'd much rather at this point have seen them call Saunders bluff by sweetening the pie than to see this fight happen. Public perception is just as important as purse in this era of the sport.Comment

Yes, you're right. This isn't a one-time weight jump for Brook. He's a massive WW most def. He'll come back down to jMW after this fight.Comment
