I think he may be above khan in terms of sturdy, but below average. Hes gotten wobbled as well, from glancing punch tbh especially knowing his opposition for the most part was horrid except porter

155 was Khan's natural weight too till he got flattened or flatlined.... Brook will say all the right things leading up to the fight you can be sure of that. It's what he says after the fight that will be interesting.

It could be that the weight issue was contributory to Kell jumping at the GGG fight. Kid's 30 which is typically around when guys start to struggle more making weight. But yes, he should definitely have been looking for a JMW if that was the case. That said, how often do £ multi-million offers drop in his lap?

I don't disagree, but being an undefeated fighter also presents some questions about how he'll take a first defeat. I suppose what I was driving at was:

What if Kell gets stopped viciously and it blasts out his self confidence in future fights? There is always some mystery and things to be learned about fighters when

          1. their 0 is gone

          2. they get stopped for the first time

Still, all the props in the world go to Brook for taking the fight. We're going to learn more about him this year than we ever have, no matter what.

This also could kind of set up Brook vs. Khan, oddly. Not what anyone imagined though to see them go into a fight having both suffered recent KO defeats.

-I know I'm assuming quite a bit with GGG vs. Brook... I feel pretty safe with my expectation of a KO win for GGG though.

              Come on Kell

I really hope Brooks can push GGG hard. I would love to see someone make GGG use his full arsenal. Im looking forward to this fight. Good luck to both fighters

Moving up to fight a dominant champion in a higher division is always risky for a boxer. That's why they never do it unless there is big money involved.

Like you say, the Khan fight will still be there for Kell even if he gets destroyed by Golovkin, and it will still be a monster domestic match-up in the UK.

And Khan won't be able to use the "he hasn't taken any risks like me" line to justify asking for 80% of the purse like he did when Hearn tried to make the fight last year!
