    * sustain a beating of a lifetime which might finish his carrer.
    * sustain a mild beating while running for dear life and surviving 12 - low physical impact and low impact on his stock as he will be a "12 rounds GGG survivor".
    * sustain a "knockout" in which he just takes the 10 kinda quit and takes the big paycheck - low physical impact but his stock will drop as it will be easy to Smilies

    "If"

I have more chance of winning the lottery 5 times over lol

I don't think people realize what Brook has got himself into

This is a guy who has fought 3 trucker drivers at 147 to prepare himself for GGG.

Brook is not accustomed to the weight. He's jumping in the deep end without doing the ground work, he has no respect for weight classes....

There is no IF....unless he takes a bucket full of roids, has the ref and judges in his pocket and also gloves made of concrete

uk money is different, and i won't pretend to understand all of the intricacies. even after you talk about revenue you need to talk about accounting and taxation.

huge, huge taxes are a big turning point. in vegas you pay no state income tax, just the federal ones. big, big savings over standard american rates of taxation, which are typically lower than european rates to begin with.

so that split is almost surely a UK TV and gate split, and it's probably fair, considering that brook is a british fighter fighting at a big british stadium. brits pack the house, man.

boxing is huge over there, especially after the successes of the london olympics, the froch fight, the advent of joshua becoming a star, fury winning hte HW championship of the world.

the only time you compete with that kind of revenue is when you fight in vegas or another major boxing state, and make it onto ppv.

hbo and showtime max the hell out at around 3 million for a single, cjhampionship broadcast [non ppv] fight. that's good money, but if you want to get a better opponent who commands a big split, or you want more than that yourself, you need PPV, and there aren't a ton of american fighters who can sell enough to be a viable ppv option and generate more than the 3ish million you see as a "purse" for a big, premium cable fight.

Not if BJS decides to fight GGG next. If GGG wins all the belts, Eubank will be irrelevant and running after GGG for a fight, probably being a twitter hero like Lara.

This is a shining example of a case where GG's opponent's team made the fight happen. Lara just effing tweets. Jacobs just hints. They've got PBC/SHO behind them yet they'd rather just bark, nothing else.

No foreign fighter will ever be the A-side over a British fighter IN BRITAIN.

I can't address your concern about Lara/Jacobs' inability to draw crowds. That's somebody else's concern. I'm just dispelling this myth that offers can only come from one source.

Showtime can't air golovkin fights without hbo allowing it. And hbo wouldn't allow the fighter that they promote the most to fight on showtime.

When has a hbo contracted fighter ever fought on showtime while under contract with hbo?

the answer is never, so what the hell are you talking about?

Contrary to popular belief, a 0 gone from the resume doesn't stop you from making good money(Canelo, Khan). Also, Eubank didn't even see the contract so I doubt, he was fearful. I truly believe it was Sr who ****ed it up. Eubank is a pretty good fighter and has a decent chance of beating GGG.
I would agree that Brook is miles better than Khan but that won't save him from what will probably be a one sided beat down hence the 7 to 1 odds against him. He will be a national hero but will he ever be as good a fighter if GGG puts a bad beating on him and destroys his confidence? I am assuming you are an Englishman because most US fans like myself don't give Eubank much chance to win. He is a good middleweight but GGG is the best middleweight. I agree it was his dad who killed the fight. His dad calls the shots. Young Eubank is probably fearless and would have taken the fight if it was up to him.

You are deluded. This fight will probably carried because people want to watch GGG. If he can pull a good crowd, he can be A side for his next fight. No matter how good Brook is, he is still irrelevant in UK which is why he has a tough time landing fights. The only reason he got a good deal was because GGG gave the deal to Eubank and wasn't willing to renegotiate again to failure plus they were desperate to get GGG in UK for quite a while iirc.

Haye got 5 million to fight Chisora

Either way imo its not worth the payday, yes 2 - 4 million, but at what cost? possibly long term damage, losing your 0, and not being able to fulfill your career at WW having messed up your metabolism

Brook is more concerned with making money than cementing his legacy. This is the result of chasing the Khan payday, all those pent up frustrations, he is basically cashing out.
I am sorry but if you can earn £2-4million you do it. That is a huge pay day. We get a bit OTT due to Mayweather earning so much. Anything over £1 million you go for it.

Khan vs Canelo. Why do you think Haymon allowed Khan to fight on HBO? Lara says he can fight anywhere. Jacobs says the same thing.
