Brook went from taking the short end against Vargas to taking 80% of the pot against Golovkin.

Now the brave but foolish Brook will get the beat down Eubank would have received.
Brook will be a national hero as millions of British people will cheer for him. It is also a good opportunity for him to show his skills or even score an unlikely win. Lets be real, he is miles better than Khan and has a better chance of winning against GGG, even if its not that much of a chance. His next fight will be big money fight even if it is at WW. Contrary to popular belief, a 0 gone from the resume doesn't stop you from making good money(Canelo, Khan). Also, Eubank didn't even see the contract so I doubt, he was fearful. I truly believe it was Sr who ****ed it up. Eubank is a pretty good fighter and has a decent chance of beating GGG.

Eubank got offered a sweet deal. I'm surprised they pushed their luck further at the negotiation table.

I think both fighters will make the most money they have ever made for a single fight. The English fans will make this fight a financial success.

Either way imo its not worth the payday, yes 2 - 4 million, but at what cost? possibly long term damage, losing your 0, and not being able to fulfill your career at WW having messed up your metabolism

Brook is more concerned with making money than cementing his legacy. This is the result of chasing the Khan payday, all those pent up frustrations, he is basically cashing out.

If he wins he is the mega star of UK boxing this is certain , get Canelo next and sky is the limit for him.

Now there are 3 ways of losing :
            * sustain a beating of a lifetime which might finish his carrer.
            * sustain a mild beating while running for dear life and surviving 12 - low physical impact and low impact on his stock as he will be a "12 rounds GGG survivor".
            * sustain a "knockout" in which he just takes the 10 kinda quit and takes the big paycheck - low physical impact but his stock will drop as it will be easy to see the money grab hoax.

I don't think Eubank gets that rich of an offer the next time around. After the Brook fight, Golovkin could very well become the UK A-side to Eubank.

Heck, PBC/SHO combined probably got more gold than HBO. But why is GG not getting delivered to Jacobs? Lara wants it. It makes no sense to me. PBC/SHO can do it if they wanted to.

This just shows GG can fight anywhere, any network, any place. But why is PBC/SHO want no part of GG?
He has an exclusive contract with HBO. He can't fight on Showtime or PBC

Agreed, this is what Hearn was referring to. Not the percentage between the fighters. 80 % to sky and 20% to Team Eubank.
