Nah I think it would be a great, competitive fight. I would favour Canelo but Kell would no doubt win some rounds. It would be a super fight really, two A level fighters with great speed, ring IQ and counter punching ability. It's a dream match up.

My question to everyone is then this:

      85% believe Canelo/Brook is a competitive match-up. People don't think Brook/GGG is competitive - And rightly so.

But doesn't this also mean we have double standards when it comes to Canelo vs GGG? It's similar to the whole pac/may/jmm situation. People didn't hate on Pac/jmm but they hated on may/jmm but demanded may/pac.

      I find that interesting.

Not necessarily. Your poll question was whether it was a 'ridiculous mismatch'. Personally I voted no, not because I don't believe it to be a mismatch but because I don't believe it to be a ridiculous one.

I'd envision them as links in a chain, Brook-Canelo-Golovkin based on the weight divisions that they occupy. For Alvarez to hook onto either of the other two isn't unreasonable. Brook-----------Golovkin on the other hand, is somewhat of a stretch.

          Certainly not a ridiculous mismatch.

I guess that makes sense. Although I would pick Brook to beat Canelo.

Brook did better than Canelo against all of their common opponents. Brook has way faster feet than Canelo and hits just as hard, I'd pick him to beat Canelo at 155 today.

Yes because Canelo is a MW, he would be too big and too strong for Brook

                  Golovkin-Brook. Mismatch
Canelo-Khan. Not bad, but pretty sure winner.
                  Golovkin-Khan. Homicide
                  Golovkin-Canelo. Decent fight. Clear winner.
                  Canelo-Brook. Close Fight.

I think Brook takes this fight surprisingly comfortably with fair judging but you've probably gotta give Canelo a punchers chance.

I don't give either a chance against GGG but again I feel Brook could present more problems.
I don't actually want to see GGG vs Canelo either I know it might not be a popular opinion but I don't see that as a competitive fight at all.

Out of all the best fighters at 154 & 160 I feel Canelo is among the most made to order of possible opponents stylistically.
He'd fight to Golovkins strengths and there is only one winner there.
I really don't understand the outcry over it.

This is exactly what I was getting at. People are talking about this fight as if we've been asking for it forever, when in fact not many spoke about it before he beat Cotto. Then it was all about Cotto vs GGG. Which would have also been a total mismatch.

I think Jacobs vs GGG is a better fight. Hell, Andrade or the Charlo brothers would probably also be a better fight with GGG.

But really, GGG needs to fight guys in the SMW division now I think
