Andre Ward is the polar opposite of Broner as far as character but majority of the fans on here that hate Broner also find reasons to hate Ward.
^^^yup...i think it was because he was in a conversation to fight GGG and he was a threat to upset the applecart

bet they are relieved the fight never happened

Ward is a good, guy....works hard and is a student of the game.....outside of 1 punch power...what is there NOT to like about this guy?

    • broner gets crap for what he does outside of the ring.

he was also very blatantly figthing smaller guys, and his dominance / when he looked like a future p4per was very obviously a product of his being a weight class or two above the eloy perez' of the world.

      golovkin also isn't an *******

and he never arguably lost to ponce, and he's proven to be a far better fighter than broner, who loses his best fights, and doesn't look all that special against anybody but a stationary target.

      long story made short:
broner is a legit *******, and a bad guy, and golovkin isn't fromw hat we know so far.

and golovkin's a better fighter. much better. he's knocked out the adrien broners [3-5 ranked contenders,] without any fuss at all.

Funny part was Ward turned down the GG fight when it was offered by HBO. Stop making it appear GG is terrified of your newfound hero. It's the exact opposite.

        Straight from GG's mouth:

"Hey, Ward, wake up! Why are you talking trash about other people? Speak for yourself. If you're trying to make a name for yourself by mentioning me to build up your own fight, then be a man about it and tell the truth. At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers - I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no." But you remember that HBO said then that they would need a long time to build-up the fight. Then what the **** are you talking about excuses?"

"If you do provocative attacks, do not even think that Loeffler [Gennady's K2 promoter] will buy into them. You haven't been interesting to anyone for a long time, so he will no longer engage in the promotion of your name. Go and build your own image. Although everyone already knows what you are, and because of this, they do not go to your fights."

"You shouldn't worry about who I'm going to box or have boxed. You, like the rest, were lucky with the "Super Six" tournament because you got your opponents by contract. And who are you fighting now? The fourth-fifth ranked fighters in England...If I say that I'm ready to box any middleweight and ready to rise to 168 for a big fight, then I am responsible for the words. And I have nothing left to discuss with you. As a man, you are dead to me."

ward is my favorite active fighter, but he had a lot to do with his inactivity and his fallout with goossen. dan goossen got him home court and solid paydays during the SS and after. he did a good job starting ward out, and even coasting with him prior to floyd's retirement. ward and his people jumped the gun on starting to demand big, ppv type money. they needed to wait until mayweather retired, they didn't, and they held out on a decent contract because they thought they were making the right call. that contract wasn't even that old, actually. it was an extension signed in 2011, to go active in 2012. ward's litigation cost them several fights and several million dollars.

nobody was going to try and turn ward into a ppv fighter until floyd had retired. it is no surprise at all that these guys are strating to get to ppv just after floyd retired.

now, that's not the on ly reason ward was inactive, but it did contribute, and we can't ignore it. you also have legit injuries, kelly pavlik losing his mind, the bute fight not happening because lucian couldn't beat froch, etc, and none of that is ward's fault.

so, when people ask, "what's not to like about andre ward?"
and people respond, "well, he's one of the reasons he was very inactive for a several year period, in the heart of his prime, and had no fights at all in 2014."

          they're right!

objectivity, guys. and research. if you do enough of your own research you're bound to become objective eventually. give it a try some time.

The last part of your post is pathetic. Soto Karass>Martin Murray p4p FFS. Maidana and Porter are so much better than anyone GGG has fought p4p it's embarrassing.

                    • GGG is the most hated right now. Not Broner. It's not even close.
