Everyone knew this was happening, I'm not surprised. But what's the end game here?

Canelo winning a title at 154 doesn't bode well for him supposedly fighting GGG next year, unless Canelo misses weight?

I think Liam should tell the fat nacho to go *** himself if he misses weight.

canelo at 154. i dont think he can make the weight. probably give smith 150k to come in heavy. man getting hard to defend canelo with fights like this. disappointed in my hero.
ppv too. wtf. thank god for firestick and kodi. no ppv funds needed.
This is a better fight then GGG fighting Wade and possibly Eubank next. This guy at least has a belt. Isn't that what idiot GGG fans keep yelling about belt?

He is simply cutting 1 pound. The same 1 pound that his trainers and promoter have been saying for months that Canelo can do if it's for a 154 title fight. If not why the F does he need to cut that last pound? Just last year he weighed 154.5 in a non title fight against Kirkland and has NOT looked drained at any of weighin's. Only an idiot thinks he's a middleweight or moving down a lot of weight. He is simply choosing to cut 1 pound to shut up all the GGG fools calling him a middleweight. He's never weighed 160 or fought a 160 fighter. He's been fighting at 155 against other Jr Middleweights in NON title fights. Until Cotto dragged a middleweight title into the picture.

You act like he's dropping 8 pounds or something in danger of missing weight. Bro it's 1 pound! LMAO

Wade was GGG's mandatory. Eubank Jr is a tough fighter, very good opponent...

GGG has few options at 160, people are avoiding him. Canelo is the cash cow at 154, everybody wants a fight with him.

Smith needs more experience, and he's unknown in the US...

Canelo should be fighting someone like Andrade or one of the Charlos.

So does Golovkin. Plenty of them.

Canelo goes from talking about a middleweight unification to a weak belt holder at 154 and you're claiming it as a win.
