Fact is, there was no catchweight offer made to Golovkin during the negotiations. Probably because Oscar was scared he might accept it.
Canelo was never going to fight GGG this year at any damn weight.

In other news, Austin Trout is currently suing the WBO for his shot at their 154lbs title b/c Warren & Smith paid to fight for the vacant belt without having to go through Trout.
Soooo, we could end up with Alvarez/Trout II, especially now that Trout's been pretty softened up.

canelo is going to come in at 155, as always, and not be eligible for the belt that should be the only reason to fight liam smith. the belt doesn't matter, anyway.
just a pathetic move by GBP. i hope they lose a ton of money and have to rush the golovkin fight.
I WILL NOT BUY THIS FIGHT!

Come Abel, check my balls. You might be surprised at what you find.
Drops WBC belt
Drops lineal crown
Fights Liam Smith , weakest of the 154 bunch
Can't make this **** up!
Anyone trying to spin this as anything other than a huge loss for Canelo is misguided.
