Are we talking about Bute or Froch? A Bute fight was no longer relevant when he lost to Froch. As for Smith, he was a tune-up, after a year long layoff.

Losing to froch didn't drop Bute's ranking all that much...& even froch said some disparaging things against Bute...& still he fought him. What's Ward's excuse again? And we still haven't talked about Dirrell & DeGale.

Ward turned professional back in 2004. Golovkin, 2006. Ward barely moved up in weight class to 175, yet you name him as if he made such a huge leap that GGG could never do .

Crawford? Really? His first professional fight he came in on the scales at 137 pounds, at the age of 21. He was always destined to grow into a 140 lber, but could make lightweight also because he's young.

You're really trying hard here to make GGG look bad, but the way you're going about it fails once you have clarity of the background behind each fighter



Continue to belittle the current middleweight division, but lets not pretend like super middleweight during Ward's era was so amazing and outclasses this middleweight era .

When you try to compare the current Mw division to SMW from a few years ago, you expose yourself. Kessler, Froch, Bika, Johnson, Dirrell, Taylor. <- I think everyone of those men could beat GGG.. A few of them would be big favorites

Yea, & then Ward proceeded to defend his belt against none of the top SMW's who he hadn't fought in the super-6...aka, Bute. I also named Dirrell & DeGale as 2 other guys who would have been good title defenses for Ward. Not downplaying his resume...but some are mistaken when they say he cleaned out the division. Absolutely Ward was the best in the division...but never did he ever clean it out.

And why doesn't the Ali card win arguments? Are we talking about the same Ali standard that most boxers would like to live up to? Why are we dismissing using Ali as an argumentative point anyway?

So your way to greatness is straps in multiple divisions to equate greatness? I am sure Burns, Broner and countless others will agree with you. I mean undisputed champs, how can they be worth anything right? So few of them over the years LOL

Jumping divisions in order to duck tough fights is 1 way to create the allure of being great...not moving up or even down because you're in the weakest division in boxing is another.

Eubank Jr is a durable tough opponent who has improved from his loss to BJS he has adapted to purely fighting to suit his strengths.

This fight is simply bigger than Kovalev Vs. Ward because well when you look at it how big is Ward and Kovalev's fanbase?
Combine both twitter followers and Eubank Jr has more than both combined lol!!

AND also the British fans absolute shiet all over the American fanbase for Ward I mean Wards fanbase does he even have any fans I know Kovalev will have Russians and other Eastern Europeans out there to watch him because his fanbase is better but they simply don't match the scale of both GGG and Eubank Jr.
I don't blame Kovalev for this I blame Ward for being a diva his entire career and for his constant excuses because If Ward had any balls he would have done things so much differently which would have made him one of the most popular boxers about.
