Did GGG bring racism to boxing?

It's not really GGG's fault that the majority of his fanbase are casual and show racial bias. He did inherit most of Pacquiao's remaining fans, after all.
The problem lies within people trying to "claim" him as one of them because of the way he looks. For some reason, they feel inferior, and they feel their "race" is somehow uplifted when a fighter who looks like them does well. Unfortunately for them, GGG is nothing like them, both in personality and demeanor and even genetically. He's Korean and Russian.
It's to the point where I'd feel bad if there was an upcoming American born white fighter who was really good. He'd inherit the most racist fans possible, and it wouldn't even be his fault. It's been so long that they've seen someone who looks like them and come from the same country as them do good in boxing that it's become a racial thing. It's really not a good look for the sport.Comment

I never said only white people wanted Floyd to lose, I said many racists wanted him to lose for obvious reasons. And you saying Ali was loved by white people just shows more ignorance. Ali wasn't loved when he was in his fighting prime. He was reviled, he was one of the most hated athletes in America. Ali only became loved after his retirement once he was no longer the brash outspoken athlete he once was. You clearly don't know anything about the sport's history. When i said imaginary, i was referring to you imagining them for the sake of your narrative...not that they don't exist. Unless you were talking about real people that you actually know.
Yea racism still exists...especially is the small minds if people like you. And it will continue to exist until people take personal responsibility for their own thoughts and beliefs, instead of dwelling on negativity. I don't know one white boxing fan who isn't a fan of all different races of fighters...doesn't mean some don't hate black fighters. Could be cuz there isn't the luxury of many elite white boxers to chose from. Could also be that i associate with people who have evolved past that bs. So you're saying only white people wanted floyd mayweather to lose? Ali was beloved by white people, mainly for things he did outside the ring. As far as jack Johnson goes...times were a little different in america in 1908. You can hold onto racism as much as you want...it's funny how when you really look for something, you seem to find it everywhere. Just don't assume everyone else is clinging to those antiquated beliefs.
I'm not holding onto the past. There are several racist boxing channels on youtube right now and Golovkin is their guy right now. Golovkin didn't bring racism to boxing. My point to the topic starter was that it was always there and still is to this day.Comment

No, I have recently begun to get in touch with my African American roots.just so everybody knows, TS is "earl hicky" a brit who used to get particularly butthurt when an american fighter hollowed out the colon of one of his heroes.
he's "a troll" a "satire" account, etc.
probably a racist, to boot, if you look at his depiction of black people.
In my day to day life I have taken the name "akeem" and I am on a crusade to get respect for my people.
Now stfu you uncle tomComment

This is truth.... especially the black supremacist scumbags here.Hit and not get hit doe. You'd think the floydhype fanbase would love guys like Lomachenko and Postol. But that's not the case. It's all about color in this fanbase.
In contrast, and generally, non-floydhype fans love entertaining fighters, black, white, red... they also dislike boring fighters, black, white, red... Bottom line is there's consistency. See the huge difference?

Ali wasn't loved til he retired? How bout his stance on civil rights? viet nam? He was a huge part of the counterculture...let's not ignore that. Did some people hate him simply cuz he was a brash, skilled athlete...or did it have something to do with his blatant racism and association with the black panthers and nation of islam, which were seen as a threat by part of the establishment. There were racists then, and there still are...but the country has evolved far beyond where it was in the 60's and ali himself played a part in that progress.Comment

According to this idiot there's nothing to love about GG. He runs, clinches, he's boring. LOL at these lover of running, boring, clinching fighters. Hit and not get hit doe. And they're supposed to love guys like Postol and Loma. They don't. It's all about color. Look at me. I don't like Postol's style. See the difference? It's not really GGG's fault that the majority of his fanbase are casual and show racial bias. He did inherit most of Pacquiao's remaining fans, after all.

There's more racism from Kova fans on NSB than Lil'G.
Tbh NSB posts aren't that bad because there's some acknowledgement from a majority trollism, and far too many respect the rules...
Vs Youtube's general quota of harsh racist remarks towards black fighters like "ape" or "monkey" or #nig....You see too many of those. Any intellectual or honest person can tell you there's some big insecurity with men when it comes to fighting, that racism seems to be the closure in thinking that keeps the status of quo of "normal" to offend people.Comment
