Racism is a part of everything. And racists exist in all colors and creeds.

This entire thread is racist. The OP talking about Russians not being white. Golovkin being half cast as if it is a bad thing. That's racist in itself. Golovkin didn't do a damn thing because the fans are racist. Coming from South Africa trust me I know a thing or two about racism and about being of multiple ethnicities. And yes I support Golovkin because I enjoy what he brings to the table. I supported Sanders vs Klitschko why? Because Sanders was South African not because he was white. I cannot support anyone just for the sake of their race and for those of you that do you should be ashamed of yourselves and God help all of you to gain some freaking humanity and intellect.

They've been using that term as recently as the 1990s. Listen to the commentary of the Morrison vs Mercer fight and the commentators call Morrison the white hope. But of course you didn't know that, because you clowns dont know anything about boxing.

I don't judge people based on race, but I do judge them on their character.

I love guys like Andre Ward and B Hop who actually speak proper english and don't try to come off as some gang ****er wannabees.

Look at idiots with their grills, or spending their millions before they even fight.... The FU money is all flash and brings nothing to the sport of boxing....

The only boxer smart enough to turn his flash into an actual business is Floyd... as much as I dislike him as a boxer, he is a smart business guy.

But when it comes to respect... how can you respect a boxer who goes and beats his wife, gets arrested for drugs or any number of crimes....

versus a guy like Pac who right after his defeat.... instead of going to a flashy party with "Cristal", he goes to visit kids in an orphanage?

So while in the early days of boxing there might of been racism.... I don't believe it exists today in the same degree.... what has grown though is the complete hatred for how some boxers behave.

Haha...yea ok. Again, i was referring to your post and the way you used the term...stop trying to make it into something else. I really should have worded it differently, but now you know the context I'm referring to when i say it's racist. If i responded to a post about a news article that used that term, then you'd have a point. Who are "you clowns", by the way?

Great thread. There was absolutely no racism in boxing until GGG's American debut in 2012. He's terrible for the sport.
