I agree - Loma has more skills than both GGG and Kovalev. His movement and technique is very impressive. If his power is legitimate, then he's definitely better than both.

What he doesn't have yet is the intimidation. When people fight Kovalev and GGG they know they're in for a painful night. Loma needs to develop that same aura.

Can't wait for Ward vs Kovalev, it's gonna bring out the best in both!!
This guy is right, ya know..

Show any random person on the street this picture and ask them who they think would win the fight?

Only 1 person out of 20+ picked Kovalev and that's only because he follows Boxing

You don't even want to know about this one.. facepalm, after facepalm, after facepalm

If we're not taking their boxing careers into consideration, I'd actually answer that Pascal looks less threatening. Pascal looks like a nice and sweet guy, and Kovalev looks like he's maintenance worker with an IQ level below 40. Not trying to disrespect both of them

I can somehow understand the comparison between Kovalev and Golovkin. They have sparred before (and for those who don't know, GGG dropped Kovalev with a body shot). Golovkin is known for sparring bigger guys and you could imagine them meeting in the ring one day. Also, they have similarly aggressive stiles and break their opponents down.

Loma, however, is a technical fighter with subtle game, and far too small to ever be in the ring with either one. Just feeding boxing nerds and trolls to keep their keyboards busy.

Nobody suggested that Loma could beat those guys head-to-head.

              Including Arum.

He said that Loma is a better fighter P4P than Kovalev/Golovkin.

              And he is absolutely correct.

Most P4P lists are compiled solely off a fighters resume, which can be more than a little confusing I agree..... because realistically that would completely remove Golovkin from any P4P list and likely install Pacquiao at #1..... despite the fact that Manny is clearly not the best fighter on the planet, simply because he has the best active resume.

Boxing, like life..... is not that simple.

That is actually a horribly flawed system if you think about it, kinda like ranking by lineage.

FACT: every genuine #1 P4P fighter was better than ALL of the guys who were on the list ahead of him at one point in time.

Some realised it, and some did not..... that is all.

e.g. the year that Mayweather was first crowned " P4P "..... how had he changed/improved as a fighter from 1 year earlier, when he wasn't on the P4P list?

ANSWER: Nothing! He was EXACTLY the same, he had that skillset/ability since he was a teenager...... the P4P list was corrected/updated, that is all.

A REAL P4P list, which is based on 1) ceteris paribus 2) skillset/style 3) with consideration given to resume, just to add that proven factor..... will usually be much more accurate, whilst always allowing for the fact that nothing in boxing is certain..... it requires knowledge and understanding about the sport, and does not rely on boxrec.

Loma has been one of the best fighters on the planet for awhile now, most lists will be "corrected/updated" shortly.

P4P is 100% theoretical, these clowns are trying to make it tangible.

              P4P is horribly over-rated.

World Flyweight Title (December 1998-September 1999) Beating Sasakul

World Featherweight Title (November 2003-March 2005) Beating Barrera

World Junior Lightweight Title (March 2008-July 2008) Beating Marquez by SD
I know...Marquez beat him blablabla (Not even competitive I guess?).

World Junior Welterweight Title (May 2009-July 2010) Beating Fatton

World Welterweight Title (April 2016) Beating Bradley after Floyd's retirement (Beating Cotto in 2009 according to other sources).

The third fighter in boxing history to only win three "Glamour Division" championships (flyweight, featherweight, and welterweight) along with Bob Fitzsimmons and Henry Armstrong.

Pacquiao has won three Ring titles in three different weight classes (featherweight, super bantamweight, and light welterweight)

We can say at least he won 3 lineal titles in 3 divisions, so how does come Pacquiao into a dabate about paper champions?

You guys Paquiao's haters are between a rock and a hard place.

He won paper belts, catchweights, is a fraud....

Then when you guys face the facts, goes "all Paulie Malignaggi", he took PED doe, "afrayd of dat dam needlez bra"

                    good god

                    get your story straight

Are there any angles/tactics that you guys can use against other fighters that DON'T reflect poorly on Pacquiao/Golovkin?

                    And yep, Marquez won

I'm not a Pacquiao, Golovkin nuthugger.

As a boxing fan, and how those guys represent the sport, I can just respect them.

You seem to be more a hater when it comes to both fighters.

Just like saying Marquez won, any person with a brain who is not a nuthugger/hater will admit those are close/could gone either fights.

Regarding Golovkin, there is a difference between wanting him to take bigger challenges/ better opponents and bashing, hating on the guy in every thread.
Plus, I think Golovkin woulda gladly fought Martinez, Cotto and Canelo if at least they didn't duck him.

Cotto, Sasakul, Marquez, Barrera, Fatton were the best of their division when Pacquiao beat them, yes.

Why are u even talking about Diaz?

Pacquiao is the men who took bigger challenges in our era, more than Floyd IMO

Moving up 7 weight classes to fight Cotto, Clottey, Floyd, Bradley 3 times ain't that much ridiculous I hope?
