You are quickly becoming one of the worst posters on this place.Originally posted by b0xGamboa would get KTFO, at any stage of his career. Gamboa had great speed but he was wild and always left himself open. Just like a young khan. And he had the soft chin too. Loma would knock him out.Comment

This is hilarious...His defense is great....Who ever hit Gamboa on the back foot? He walks into punches because he gets over zealous., that's an offensive flaw not a defensive one...do you now how boxing works?gamboa has over 250 amateur bouts and needs to be at 130 which is not an easy number to reach at his age. At 135 he will become an opponent against the top men. His defense has never been very good but years gone by he brought a good punch and was physically stronger than most between 125 to 130.
If you like him against Lomo then bet on him, I think Lomo turns him around in circles then takes it to him.

The fact that you think Loma's ability to pivot to the right wins him the fight is laughable. No man the same size as Gamboa beats him...NO ONEComment

Your welcomed to your opinion but I like mine better.
I worked in the sport as a trainer and evaluator 3 times longer than you've been alive.
Try relaxing sonny, I know "how boxing works" and I know how to work in it.

Why did you even ask the question if you're just a Gamboa fanboy? You have your opinion, I have mine.
Gamboa has more power and throws prettier combos. When it comes to footwork, it's not even close. If you somehow think that all Loma does is "pivot to the right", I'm not sure this argument is worth continuing.Comment

and, to be fair, Crawford comes is a huge jr WW. He was weighting in the 150s if I recall correctly, with huge size advantage already. With the guys at 135 right now. Gamboa would make the division his *****, even if he is past prime. It took a fighter like Crawford to beat him and there is'nt anyone at 135 right even remotely close to Crawford's level.
As for him vs Loma. I would pick Loma just because of Gamboa's inactivity and not knowing what the hell he is doing right now. But some vintage Gamboa could certainly give Loma all he could handle and could beat him.
Gamboa has ZERO business being in the ring with such as a size disparity. The fact that outboxed him early on and hurt him is mesmerizing enough
Anyway, I put my money on Gamboa slightly, but that's no knock on Lomachenko. You're talking about world class vs world class,Comment

I agree. People are forgetting just how good Gamboa is at the right weight. Heck, the guy was beating TC before his size started to lose him out.Who wins in this battle of gold medalists?
People are very high on Loma right now so I wonder how people think he would match up against the cyclone from Guantanamo.
I honestly feel it is a mismatch. Gamboa does everything Loma does just faster.... What do you guys think?
Loma and his team don't want Gamboa.Comment

Lomachenko is obviously taller then Gamboa, Loma obviously throws more compact punches. Gamboa is more explosive, but Loma's footwork generally is better. I don't know about reflexes but Lomachenko uses them better because he is more concentrated then Gamboa.
After all, Gamboa doesn't throw compact punches at all.
I know that Loma would do better against Crawfard than Gamboa. Because Loma knows how to close the distance with a taller fighter. Gamboa tries to close a distance with one jump. Because of that he is vulnerable to counteratacks. Also because of that he has problems finding his distance when opponents adust. And Loma closes distance gradually. He is always balanced, always out of range when he closes the distance. Because of that he would do much better against Crawford then Gamboa. If you think otherwise then you simply didn't study Loma's bosing and Gamboa;s boxing enough.Comment
