I just don't get it honestly. Like Gamboa played with Salido the way Loma did Martinez. His one loss is a fight of the year against a guy who weighed in as a welterweight.... Didn't know beating Roman Martinez meant **** all tbh.
Absolutely no clue why you quoted me. I suggested Loma would win by 9-3 or better lol.
gamboa has over 250 amateur bouts and needs to be at 130 which is not an easy number to reach at his age. At 135 he will become an opponent against the top men. His defense has never been very good but years gone by he brought a good punch and was physically stronger than most between 125 to 130.
If you like him against Lomo then bet on him, I think Lomo turns him around in circles then takes it to him.

With the guys at 135 right now. Gamboa would make the division his *****, even if he is past prime. It took a fighter like Crawford to beat him and there is'nt anyone at 135 right even remotely close to Crawford's level.
As for him vs Loma. I would pick Loma just because of Gamboa's inactivity and not knowing what the hell he is doing right now. But some vintage Gamboa could certainly give Loma all he could handle and could beat him.
Fight is far from happening. Gamboa always demands astronomical sums of money which ends up with the fight not getting made. Case in point: Gamboa vs Mikey. Useless discussions.

It wasn't Crawford's "level" that beat him, it was the huge size advantage he had over Gamboa and 50 Cent's ******ity to sign off on it.

Size is so overrated. In this instance I would say size had a lot to do with the outcome, but several guys at 135 are on par, size wise, with Crawford, and Gamboa would smoke them. So yes, Crawford's level was a huge factor.

Gamboa hasn't done anything or beaten anybody good at 135 so there's nothing to back that claim up. It's obvious he's better suited at 126/130 while Crawford was a huge LW. Gamboa was also coming off a one year lay off. Size isn't overrated, it can be a huge factor unless the smaller guy is an exceptional talent and the bigger guy is the right opponent. We'll see what level TC really is at when he finally fights a solid guy his own size next month.
