Doubt it's 20lbs. Ggg is usually 170 and Cotto was hitting 160 way back when he first moved to welter.

We ALL know Cotto is a FOR SURE HALL of Famer.... Rate GGG is beating cans and caring more about $$$$ then belts he will get in by BUYING a ticket like the common person does.

It was all a a part of that deal the WBC made for Rubio when the WBC screwed up the Chavez post fight tests.......
I don't really care how they got there. All I know is that for once, the best fighter not holding a belt was the mandatory. And I'm also glad they stood their ground, and stuck to their gunz with Canelo. Its a step in the right direction.

Canelo can fight anyone from 147-160 and they would do backflips to get that money. Why settle for WADE or Stevens money when you can be on PPV fight for MILLIONS!!!

The idea of a guy beating champion after champion in order to become the undisputed champ. That's amazing man. Like Wilder fighting Joshua, or Joshua fighting Fury, or Wilder vs Fury. When this happens, it will blow everyone away.

The only thing that ruins it is not the belt organisations in my opinion but the promoters who want their fighters to sit on one belt and keep it hostage instead of unifying titles, and of course cowardly and ungrateful bums like Cotto who are basically complaining about fighting a mandatory and unifying titles, and praising others for doing the same.

Most of the time in life I've noticed that in most cases it is not the system itself that is faulty, but the corrupt people inside the system that make it so.
Having multiple champions in a division is ****** and totally ****s on the very essance of what a CHAMPION is. A champion is the best. How you gonna have five guys saying they're the best?

And unification fighta are close to, if not the biggest joke in all of sports. You don't exactly have to be great to win a belt. Adrien Broner is a prime example. You take a pretty good, but far from great fighter like Broner, and put the right shot callers and money behind him, and you get maybe the worst 4 division beltholder in boxing history. Say he had fought Floyd or Manny immediately after beating Malignaggi for that paper trinket at 47. You legitimately would have had one of the 2-3 best fighters in the world fighting a guy that probably wasn't even one of the top 10 guys in the division. What's incredible about that? It would have been a unification. In reality, you would have had a bonafide elite fighter fighting a fringe contender. Are you telling me that putting "unification" on the fight poster elevates that into being something incredible?

At the end of the day 1champ per real lb class. No catch weight. GGG is the man. Come get your whoopin or gove me your belt. Go make money fighting little guys. G will continue to KO everyone he faces and build LEGACY. Canelo may make more money but 20 years from now what is yor legacy.
And to be honest i think GGG will do just fine $ wise as hes racking up endorsements outside the ring. Cotto has one payday left and is trying to stay on the radar untill rhat day.

He fought Canelo well when Canelo probably had 20 lbs on him come fight night. Cotto fought smart but clearly could not **** with canelo

Canelo could probably **** with GGG for 6-10 rounds but would loose by ko more then likely.
GGG is the man at 160, period. I mean GGG has not fought great comp. At his weight but there is nobody right now really for him besides Canelo and still GGG only has 350 more amauter fights then him.
All these people jump on here and call Canelo or Cotto a coward are idiots. They fought the best available and not dodging prime fighters like Floyd and others. Hell Ggg is being called out by Lara. No he is not a draw but he is something GGG has never fought.
                  More to come

Your logic doesn't add up since both Cotto and Alvarez were both WBC Middleweight title holders. If neither are true middleweights, then why keep defending the middleweight title at catchweight one night, and then right after say "I'm not a true middleweight"??

If you are defending the MW championship- You're under obligations to defend it as a middleweight champion. If Canelo and Alvarez are both 'not middleweights' then why not just vacate the title and go down to welter/jr middleweight?? It would have given credibility to their statements. Yet neither vacated the titles and only did so when GGG was looming as their next fight--- funny how that works.

As for Lara--- Constantly calling GGG out on social media, yet still no offers from his team to GGGs team in 2 years--- Obviously he is not serious at all about fighting GGG- Never was.

If canelo was smart he should of gave up the belt after the Cotto fight, defending it against khan, 2 weight classes below, then vacating it when he was pressured to fight GGG is all you need to know. He just never wanted GGG.
