well, canelo is "almost" undefeated because he has the judges on his side on a weight that doesn't exist.

Should just fight him. He's willing. Barely got hurt his last fight and Lara not that punishing. Should do it July and fight again this year.

Both fighters can do whatever they like but I have no interest in watching a damn track meet. That's another sport. If Pernell Whitaker had been a middleweight, he would stay in the pocket, circle mid ring, make a fighter miss and make them pay. Not run for his life like Lara did against Canelo. Whitaker was one hell of a fighter. That's how you embarrass an opponent....the way he did.

Move up to middleweight and get ranked. Ggg has mandatories to fight. Unlike some champions.

The priority list for Gennady should be Canelo, BJS, Jacobs, Lara, Eubanks.

If any of those fights is next, I'm good.

considering how comfortably ggg makes weight according to his team and his fans, im pretty sure he doesnt go remotely close to 180lbs+. lara has been able to rehydrate into the mid 170s from 154. so im pretty sure these two would be within 5lbs of each other come fight night.

I agree. With all this Canelo drama starting to get tiresome if none of the other belt holders sow interest then why not fight Lara.

People have been saying for some time now that GGG needs to fight an established name, Canelo blatantly doesn't want to know, if no other belt holders do at 160 then Lara is interesting...Especially if he is the one calling out.

If nothing else, then why not.

However, Canelo just out maneuvered Golovkin again by vacating the belt. No belt so no organizations rules or stipulations while Canelo still remains the RING and Lineal Middleweight champion. Canelo's move also eliminates any mandated 55/45 split. Can't knock the hustle.
