I'm not "pushing an agenda," I'm pushing for a fight. By the "eye test" GGG looks much heavier than Lara, especially the Lara that fought on Saturday night. Let's just hope K2 can make this happen! Lara is a much more polished talent than Saunders or Jacobs. In fact, I think Lara should push to fight Jacobs first, and then become GGG's mandatory!

(Canelo fight is dead, so no point wasting a spot on it)

      1. Saunders
      2. Jacobs
      3. Degale / Ramirez
      4. Lara

I still think Lara is a pointless fight, but if options 1, 2, and 3 go nowhere, then fine, do the Lara fight. If nothing else it will forever put an end to the countless "but but but Lara doe" threads we have to endure......

Edit: The author was unclear, but I hope its actually Lara talking here and not DeCubis.
Imo.. Swap 3 & 4 in your list because you cannot move up to 168 and then come back to 160 again for future fights.. So all these fights can happen at 160:
      1. Billy "pay me life changing money" Saunders
      2. Danny "In Due Time" Jacobs
      3. Erislandy "My promoter doesn't call k2" Lara

Once dealt with above 3, then it's time to move to 168

If Canelo doesn't want to fight in September then I really hope GGG's team tries to negotiate a Lara fight. None of the other top Middleweights will be available for September more than likely, so might as well end Lara.

I really hope GGG's team makes the Lara fight.

I don't know how much weight exactly would separate Golovkin and Lara but I don't need fightnight weights to know that GGG much bigger. Lara would look very small in front of Golovkin and the size difference is the main reason why I'm not really interested in this fight.

Of the names mentioned, Lara is the only one I'd be 100% willing to spend PPV dollars on. Degale would be a maybe. The other fights have ZERO intrigue.

Sorry boxing fans but Lara debuted as a middleweight in 2008 so he is not too small for Golovkin. However his style is not K2 wants for Golovkin right now.

Like I've been saying for the past year of Lara saying this, if Golovkin can't get better, than at least try. In this case the only options equal to or better than Lara are Alvarez, Jacobs, and Saunders. If he can't get any of them, why not try to fight Lara? If it doesn't happen, fine. At least they tried.

That's how Golovkin got such a following to begin with. He fought the best available opponent. This is a total win-win. If Lara's side avoids the fight, then Golovkin never has to hear about him again. If the fight happens, Golovkin will crush him with ease and get the best name yet on his record.
