All elite boxers like Canelo and Golovkin try and maximize their advantages during negotiations. Canelo flexing his A side muscle and insisting on 155 against Golovkin is no different than GGG trying to flex on Ward by insisting on 164. However, Canelo just out maneuvered Golovkin again by vacating the belt. No belt so no organizations rules or stipulations while Canelo still remains the RING and Lineal Middleweight champion. Always making excuses for Lil G... Your hero is a ducker when you willing to fight a bum like Chavez Jr. At 168 limit or a retired pro like Froch at 172 lbs but ask for a catchweight for Ward just shows Lil G real color is yellow. Sorry Sir but Canelo only vacated the WBC title. He is still the RING and Lineal Middleweight champion and all he needs to do to keep those titles is to continue to face Top 5 ranked boxers at middleweight At least once every 18 months.

ibf doesnt allow rehydration over 10lbs for title fights, max GGG could weigh in the night of the fight is 170lbs. unless lara is losing 5lbs from the weigh in, i doubt it.

your statement is true, however that "fight day" weigh in usually takes place about 10am, leaving another 12 hours for the fighters to add more weight.
