And 155 lbs is in which division?

He's a mw who refuses to fight mws

It's this type of bs which has resulted in Canelo looking like such a chumpComment

The first time he fought at " middleweight " was 6 months ago, against a 153lb JMW called Miguel Cotto LMAO

He has still to this day never fought a middleweight opponent, and never fought above 155..... which doesn't sound like any middleweight I ever heard of.

 That's gotta be a first.

 Since when does 1lb = 1 division ?

1lb is lame, but it is not a division.Comment

Canelo has not campaigned at JMW since his fight against Mayweather

He was scheduled to fight against Lara @ 154 but couldn't make the weight and had to pay his opponent $100,000 in order to change it to 155

He is a MW that specializes in dragging small opponents up to that division

If you're going to troll, at least make it somewhat challenging to shoot holes in your bs LMAOComment

Idk how Canelo handing his belt over to GGG gives GGG LESS leverage. GGG had good leverage from the jump with the agreement Canelo made earlier this year to make a deal after the Khan fight. He still has good leverage cuz no one expected the fight to get made @ 55/45 anyway & at this point why does GGG take less than whatever they wanted before? I can't see that they would.

Canelo is the one who'll likely need to submit more as his legitness has been put into question. Now he needs to fight GGG more than GGG needs him or he needs GGG's career to go into a tailspin so Canelo not fighting him won't matter cuz GGG has had his invincibility diminished or destroyed.

From most accounts I'm seeing there was little real effort to make a deal from GBP's side. From most accounts there is no deal that will be made any time soon cuz there was never much talk to begin with. You guys thinking something will be done for September any day now cuz of Canelo's statement are almost 100% living in denial. I would cop to their being some small chance Oscar & Canelo see the error of this decision via all the memes being created about Canelo & the media ****storm that has GBP lapdog Fat Dan smack talking Canelo (lol) & make an honest effort to make this fight finally & succeed in doing so since there is so much money for this fight for all parties.Comment

 smarten up, 1lb =/= 1 division.....

 Wrong

Canelo has not campaigned at JMW since his fight against Mayweather

Canelo fights JMW's, at 155..... and last time out he fought Khan, at 155.

He has still to this day NEVER fought a middleweight opponent (say that back to yourself 3-or-4 times, and let it sink in a little bit), and he has never fought above 155..... which doesn't sound like any middleweight I ever heard of.

 That's gotta be a first.

Name 1 other middleweight EVER, who has..... 1.) never fought a middleweight opponent (LOL)..... 2.) never weighed above 155.

Take your time, I will go make a coffee and wait.....Comment

 Whoah, are you serious ?

There are 2 damn good reasons..... money/weight !

 1) Now Team Bull**** cannot force a purse-bid, and get their fighter an undeserved 45%..... now Golovkin has to negotiate/fight for what he is worth

 2) Canelo just burnt Golovkin's " mando doe " excuse when it comes to the weight..... now Golovkin will have to back up all that smack talk about 154, because now he has no excuse whatsoever to refuse to negotiate with Canelo regarding the weight, like he was willing to do with Mayweather, Cotto, and Brook.

Golovkin now has NO leverage, he either wants that fight or he doesn't.Comment

You are selective with your memory. Oscar & Canelo agreed to this situation he was in. K2 & GGG agreed to it too. GBP seems to not have taken it seriously. And hence they aren't being taken seriously by most media & fans right now.

Canelo stated in the ring after Khan he had no issues with weight. K2 has suggested that weight wasn't an issue in the minor talks he did have with GBP. Weight being an issue at this point is more misdirection than a legit issue from the stuff I'm seeing.2) Canelo just burnt Golovkin's " mando doe " excuse when it comes to the weight.....

LOL no leverage? Cmon man you are nuts & lose logic points for even suggesting that. Obviously the guy with almost all the belts & who won by white flag or submission over Canelo has leverage. At this point if Canelo wants his manhood back he needs to fight GGG or he needs GGG to get old or get beat quick. Til either of those things happen GGG has bent over for GGG.Golovkin now has NO leverage, he either wants that fight or he doesn't.

Obviously the money angle is important in the current landscape of boxing business & obviously Canelo is the A side by a landslide so Canelo has leverage there & more leverage than GGG, but that doesn't mean GGG has no leverage & it definitely won't stop Fat Dan & anyone with a social media account from talking **** about Canelo for the rest of his career now over this poorly considered move to lower Canelo's overall value & therefore his own leverage with GGG or anyone moving forward. Canelo is this eras Rid**** Bowe now like it or not.Comment

I'm not sure if a fight gets made for September. In fact, I'd be pleasantly surprised because I've always thought it would get done in 2017.Idk how Canelo handing his belt over to GGG gives GGG LESS leverage. But whenever it takes place, GGG will have a significantly smaller position at the bargaining table. You mention Canelo handing the belt over after agreeing to fight GGG after Khan as two examples of GGG gaining leverage. I vehemently disagree. In fact, the two go hand in hand. By throwing the belt away, Canelo is reminding him that's it is GGG, not Canelo who needs the belt as some sort of chip. And that he doesn't need to submit to the will of a sanctioning body.

You also say that GGG is in a better position publicly but that only matters if his gate and overall revenue reflect that. So far it's leagues below Canelo who is, for better or worse, a PPV fighter.Comment

... Look at this pos here...

... using pseudo-intellectual sophisms meant to hide that Canelo fought for and won the 160 WBC and "lineal" belts (and still holds the latter).

... "he don't need belts, doe" but wanted to fight Khan for "some belts"...Comment
