#GGG should just harass and follow #Quacknelo around and just bully the *** out him!
#Ducknelo deserves nothing. That dude has a made up/padded record fighting small guys and ballooning up to Light Heavy++.
180lb fighter vs. inflated 135 and 140lbs!

The first time he fought at " middleweight " was 6 months ago, against a 153lb JMW called Miguel Cotto LMAO
He has still to this day never fought a middleweight opponent, and never fought above 155..... which doesn't sound like any middleweight I ever heard of.
That's gotta be a first.
Since when does 1lb = 1 division ?
1lb is lame, but it is not a division.Canelo fights JMW's, at 155..... and last time out he fought Khan, at 155.
He has still to this day NEVER fought a middleweight opponent (say that back to yourself 3-or-4 times, and let it sink in a little bit), and he has never fought above 155..... which doesn't sound like any middleweight I ever heard of.
That's gotta be a first.
Name 1 other middleweight EVER, who has..... 1.) never fought a middleweight opponent (LOL)..... 2.) never weighed above 155.
Take your time, I will go make a coffee and wait.....Whoah, are you serious ?
There are 2 damn good reasons..... money/weight !
1) Now Team Bull**** cannot force a purse-bid, and get their fighter an undeserved 45%..... now Golovkin has to negotiate/fight for what he is worth
2) Canelo just burnt Golovkin's " mando doe " excuse when it comes to the weight..... now Golovkin will have to back up all that smack talk about 154, because now he has no excuse whatsoever to refuse to negotiate with Canelo regarding the weight, like he was willing to do with Mayweather, Cotto, and Brook.
Golovkin now has NO leverage, he either wants that fight or he doesn't.
#Divanelo is a fraud, comes in at LHW, and fights inflated 135, 140 and 147s. This guy is a made up champ, who has been given belts and his record inflated with about 40 bums, taxi drivers, taco vendors, bartenders and barbers.

But whenever it takes place, GGG will have a significantly smaller position at the bargaining table. You mention Canelo handing the belt over after agreeing to fight GGG after Khan as two examples of GGG gaining leverage. I vehemently disagree. In fact, the two go hand in hand. By throwing the belt away, Canelo is reminding him that's it is GGG, not Canelo who needs the belt as some sort of chip. And that he doesn't need to submit to the will of a sanctioning body.
Thing is doe is that if it was 70/30 Canelo or gfy before I don't see why its not 70/30 Canelo or gfy now. And in fact I think with Canelo now needing to show he was jk when he f#cked around or to show he's not a ***** for handing his belt over to GGG he might even need to give 60/40 or 65/35 as Canelo now needs GGG a lil more than he previously did to giving up the belt. He submitted to GGG. He submitted to an agreement he made before the Khan fight. He said some bs in the ring after KOing Khan. That has an impact. And it certainly hasn't hurt GGG. That makes no sense that Canelo has somehow improved his position by taking a position seen as so bad the fans & Fat Dan among other boxing pundits & boxers are publicly shaming him.
You also say that GGG is in a better position publicly but that only matters if his gate and overall revenue reflect that. So far it's leagues below Canelo who is, for better or worse, a PPV fighter.
I mean at this point for Canelo if he decides to make a serious run at MW again & becomes the mandatory for one of GGG's belt he's getting 30% vs GGG's 70% lol. So obviously accepting the 70/30 his way deal or whatever the deal K2 wanted previously sounds beautiful. And like I said with the current ****storm Canelo has started he might be lucky to get 70/30 in the future so again I don't see how Canelo improved his position by dropping his belt with a week left to come to a deal before the often mentioned 55/45 situation that everyone knew or shoulda knew was gonna be a dealbreaker cuz it made no sense from the start.Last edited by Eff Pandas; 05-24-2016, 08:38 AM.Comment

Who thought that Canelo didn't hold more appeal then the belt at any point is what I'm saying? I can't imagine anyone did. You guys keep stating the obvious that no one was disagreeing with. Or at least I wasn't. Absolutely 100% Canelo is the A side & unless this this social media raping of Canelo's image gets worse or stays the same for a long period of time that it effects his popular negatively & effects GGG's popularity positively then I don't foresee anything changing with Canelo being the A side if this fight happens a year or three from now.

Sure if GGG starts fighting bs mandatory's all the time to defend all these corrupt alphabet groups titles he gots now or still can't entice the other top fighters & Canelo goes down to 154 or starts bringing up the top 154lbers to 155 that will have an impact on how things go from there. I haven't even brought up anything like that doe cuz thats more speculation while things are still highly influx. I just don't see how that can worsen GGG's current position if Canelo decides he wants to play at some future date.

Anyway, I think we agree basically. I don't think anything has really changed before or after Khan.Comment

Everything matters as much as you think it matters or can make it matter to the other party. Thats neither here nor there doe & more of a overall strategy with negotiation then anything specific to this situation imo. I think this situation is too up in the air to know where everything lands. I'm definitely of the opinion this move will have lasting effects on Canelo's rep that could effect his negotiation power with GGG specifically & perhaps with others. I fully admit that is all to be seen or not in the future & can be effected by choices either guy makes or doesn't make moving forward.
Yea I tend to agree with this. I'm just in disagreement with the people that are saying GGG's position has gotten worse somehow even doe Canelo gave his belt away + is getting **** on by more boxing fans across the board (I mean **** even Floyd & Manny had more guys hyping them while some fans were ****ting on them) then I've ever seen any boxer get **** on.Comment

But nah A side loss would need some massive f#ckup by Oscar to go down & even then I don't see that going down. Plus GGG would need a massive uprising & I just don't see the opponent that can help that go down either. But GGG for sure hasn't lost any position.Comment

Fans really don't care about "binding". Hence the ****storm he's in now.

Obviously & thats what I'm talking about gate, revenue & PPV buys. And I have a hard time seeing those numbers going up in light of his recent rep. They got a repair job to do just to maintain Canelo's pre-dropping the belt/backing out of the fight level of popularity regardless of anything that could happen with GGG in the future.Comment
