Despite laying an egg he still arguably beat Alvarez. That was very much an either way kind of fight. That should actually tell you how good he is.

And while I personally think Golovkin would crush him, Lara would still be his best opponent to date. Lara is a good fighter with a history of success against other good world class opponents.
