Why is Lara so overrated on here?

Lara's problem is that he consistently fights down to his competition. He has had every opportunity to shine and has yet to deliver (though the Williams fight should have been his stepping stone and he was horrendously robbed instead). He's a tough out for anyone and is guaranteed to make your fighter look bad. He has been given opportunities that Rigo can only dream of and squandered them.Last edited by DeadLikeMe; 05-03-2016, 05:33 PM.Comment

I agree with you Larry. I think Lara is fine boxer with skill but he has never lit the boxing world on fire or went on a tear of wins that made people take notice. I think he is good but people overrate the heck out of him. He doesn't have any big wins but has been in many close fights against very good opponents but he always comes up short. To me when people say that fighters are ducking him, I just don't get it. He brings nothing to the table for fighters to duck him. Personally at 154 I think he gets beat by Andrade, JRock and by at least one of the Charlo's in close fights. GGG by KO and in a rematch with Canelo I see Canelo getting a clear UD this time and possible KO.Seriously the guy has not done anything worth the hype..who is his best win?? Trout?..Yes you can say he was robbed against Paul Williams ok cool...but on the biggest stage against Canelo he layed a huge stinking turd...The guy is limited and far from what i would call slick, slick fighters dont get dropped 2 times by a shot slow ass Angulo.
Lara has never impressed me and i dont get why people want to see him get his **** pushed in by GGG. Its a pointless fight against someone who doesnt even fight at 160. So why all the hype over this guy?
The overhype he gets by some fans is a little to much IMO.Comment

Cuz he called out Triple OG....and they used him to say he ducked him....but as soon.as the fight gets made the will discredit him.Comment

That's all correct...you just forgot to mention Ward.Comment

The point is people like to talk. They like to spew crap because theres no consequence for getting every ****ing fight prediction wrong.
They want it to look like Golovkin is scared of this guy, they cluck like hens, the moment the fight gets made, they'll only murmur at best and begin to make excuses about weight and jump to "why doesnt he fight *insert name*"
By the end, Lara will be a crumpled pile of bandages on the canvas, and everyone will say he fought a JMW and how it was a cherrypick and how they never said that Lara was being ducked and that he would beat Golovkin.
Lara lost to Canelo, got dropped twice by Angulo, some other mexican guy whose name I'm forgetting gave him a tough fight, drew with Vanes, and got whooped by Carlos Molina and robbed him, so guys shouldn't even be able to use the "He robbed him!" argument for Lara considering he himself has a massive gift on his own resume.Comment
