It's true. It's a mistake to call out Golovkin. Look at Decubas pretending to be Lara. Loeffler responded to his tweets and said, "Call me." Decubas never called. He didn't even call Haymon. Didn't do anything other than tweet.

Funny part was some black dude set Decubas up and produced a gotcha video for his BS.

Reason why Lara and Decubas are so bold in calling out Golovkin is because in their minds fight won't happen, anyway, due to network issues.

But that's not true anymore. Wade and Khan are Haymon fighters, and look which network covered Wade's fight and Khan's fight with Canelo.

So if Lara is really sincere, all he has to do is tell Haymon to make the fight for him. It's so simple. Merely tweeting about it won't make it happen.

My bad, I believe you are right. I did not know that he turned pro some ten years ago. Therefore, his biological clock is ticking. His greatest foe is time.

Since Lara lost to Canelo in July of 2014, he's fought Ishe Smith, Delvin Rodriguez, and Jan Zaveck while calling out GGG on Twitter. Unless any of these guys were mandatories, he CHOSE to fight them. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. In that time, GGG's made it clear that MW unification is his top priority. It has been since the Rubio fight when he put himself in a mandatory position for the WBC title. That's nearly two years Lara's had to go and grab either a MW belt or put himself in a mandatory position to one of GGG's belts. Why hasn't he done it?...

In the same 2 years, Danny Jacobs has won and held the WBA World title and is now being discussed as a GGG opponent. Like Lara, Jacobs is a Haymon fighter. Don't recall Lara ever pursuing a Jacobs fight even though a win would put him in a position to legitimately demand a Golovkin fight.

Lara could've also gotten a fight with Tureano Johnson who became the IBF mando after he beat O'Kane on the GGG/Lemieux undercard 6 months ago. GGG won the IBF title and inherited the mandatory - this is all public knowledge. Lara could've tried for a fight with Johnson. In fact, Tureano posts..."All Al fighters, Lara, Sebastian H, Eubanks Jr and all. Let's Glover it up." at 3:47pm on Nov 16 of 2015 on his Twitter account. Now, I know how seriously the Lara fans take Twitter callouts, so the fight was obviously there to be made if Lara wanted it. Why didn't Lara accept the challenge when a win would've put him in Wade's shoes?

Of course Lara could always skip all that and just show up at one of GGG's fights and call him a chump and a ducker. Maybe pull a Curtis Stevens and insult his family - Golokvin doesn't seem to like that. Might be more effective than a tweet.

As I said, all tweet no action.

Bigger fish? Like Wade you mean? Yeah, that wasn't a foregone conclusion in any way, shape or form.
Lara could've been fighting GGG instead of Wade...T Johnson called Lara out on Twitter in Nov of last year one month after he'd become the IBF mando to GGG...

It took him three years to fight a Robert Duran, then five to fight a Thomas Hearns and seven to eventually fight a Sugar Ray Leonard.

So all Gennady has to do is keeping winning and racking up the victories while holding his ground. There's no rush for him to cash out by fighting Canelo on his terms and compromising his principles in the process, in order to secure a big fight money fight.

His time is coming. He'll become a star on his own and in his own right as long as he keeps winning like former Middleweight champion Marvin Hagler did before he got his big break.
GGG is too old to become a star, he's got a lot of waiting to do on Canelo, his only real route to super stardom is Zurdo or Andre Ward, considering he's too chicken shyt to face Ward that blatantly ain't happening.

Dude needs to fight Zurdo then they'll be huge demand to face Canelo frm the Mexican fan base.

Bullshyt, if unifying was GGG's top priority he wouldn't keep accepting step aside fees.

                    I smell BULLSHYT.
