i dont even know this spence guy enought to like him or dislike him so the last part is reaching a bit. i was only putting in my opinion that he could have gone a different route when asked that question.

fighters dont usually diss the other fighters weakness in an interview if their not planning on fighting that guy later down on the road or is trying to get a fight with him.
Why would Spence even waste his time calling out a retired fighter? He has absolutely no chance in landing that fight. What part of what Spence said wasn't true? So why are people taking issue with it? No fighter is perfect, and he shouldn't be blamed because he voiced his opinion on why he was successful when Manny was not.

Why are people acting as if fighters are above criticism? Even a fighter as great as Manny has flaws.

The reason he was able to stop him,is because algieri went into the fight, looking to exchange, which is ****** considering he has little to no punching power. Algieri was there to be hit. On the other hand,he went into survival mode against Pacquiao from round 1,and still got knocked down 6 times. Its much easier to ko someone who's in there to fight, rather than someone who is looking to make it to the cards.

Pointing out someone's weaknesses doesn't automatically = dissing. What are you guys so insecure about that you gotta jump on someone's throat for something so insignificant.

If Spence was dissing, then he would have said only negative ish about Pac, but he didn't, instead, he pointed out Pacquiao's strengths (speed and power) and then touched up on the weaknesses in his game that made him unable to stop Chris.

Some fighters are so talented they can get away with relaxed fundamentals. Look at Roy Jones Jr. He did things you're boxing trainer would slap you for. Naseem Hamed is a boxing hipsters' nightmare.

But what we need to see is how Spence's fundamentals hold up when he steps up to fighting A and B level fighters. Or when he faces an awkward style that forces him to make adjustments.

He was not too small to cut off the ring. That has nothing to do with it.

I didn't know an 10 time world champion, 8 division world champion and 5 division lineal champion lacked "fundamentals". Many greats didn't fight like Spence but doesn't make this kid special until he can beat elites in the same fashion. Until then, he's a kid with pop and that's it.

So what your saying is Spence shouldn't give his opinion when asked the question? Good to know.
I think he should be more respectful than to question a legend's fundamentals without the implication that he is better.

But whatever, he'll find out in due course.
