I tend to think the GGG hate is more of a racial thing because there simply is no rational basis for it. Anyone capable of critical thinking knows that GGG cant kidnap people at gunpoint and force them to fight. Idek what you are arguing. I'm not saying GGG isn't popular. I'm saying Canelo is more popular. And he's more popular in the US with a strong Mexican fan base where a lot of the money in boxing comes from on this side of the globe. Canelo is already #11 on the most PPV buys in history list with 3.7M buys. GGG has 150k career PPV buys (or there about I think he did some minor PPV's that I've never seen #'s on). Cmon brother its not even disputable Canelo has higher ground here.

Most of it is fair criticism, not hate. The rationale for it is the paucity of his resume.

We've discussed this before. I agree with you it's not his fault people ducked him. That said, it is his fault for the choices he makes once he is ducked. That is what almost all of the criticism he gets is about.

This is the other point where you are extremely disingenuous. Its not just about Ward. It's about his willingness to fight money fights at 168 yet claim his goal is "unification" when the more difficult 168 fights are discussed. It is very fair to criticize him and his camp for this.

The bottom line is you, kafkod and some others continually try and paint any criticism GGG gets as purely race based when it isn't. Its not just "floyd fans" "canelo" or "cotto" fans or any other PC way of labeling fans of these fighters.

GGG gets criticism from across the spectrum of NSB. Not all of it is fair, no, but no fighter gets only "fair" criticism on NSB. that doesn't make all of it racial, biased or unfair.
