But Canelo has WAY more options then GGG does.
Canelo can repair part of his reputation fighting Thurman/Porter, Andrade, Charlo Bros. Kell Brook. All good PPV fights.
Who will GGG have???
The NEW WBC mandatory Jorge Heiland.
WBA Alfonso Blanco (Because I don't think Loeffler will pay Jacobs).
WBO Arif Magomedov (Because we all know he lied about Saunders money)
IBF Gran Turino
None of those fight are worthy of PPV.
No unbiased boxing fan would criticise him for refusing to accept either a catchweight or a much lower purse than he is entitled to.
Most boxing fans don't give a schit about resumes or A side B side, or catchweights. All they would care about is that a champion got stripped of his title for refusing to defend against his No1 contender.
Golovkin would have plenty of options for interesting and lucrative fights if he picked up a 3rd world MW title. Jacobs, Saunders or Eubank Jr in the UK, Ramirez, Degale or Groves at 168 ...

I suspect all things being equal Canelo outsells Cotto. Mosley, Marquez & Bradley are the only other PPV players left still fighting (or not) & I believe all things being equal he outsells them. I don't know that anyone else on the PPV table comes close cuz they lack the history/success still.
Its okay to just say Canelo is the most popular fighter in boxing on his side of the globe that happens to have the most money being thrown at boxing.

Everybody likes and respects a fighter with heart, who doesn't run away from a tough challenge.

Anyone know how PPV money gets split when there is a purse bid? I'd assume its at the same cut (55/45 if that is indeed the correct cut which I tend to doubt), but have never heard that confirmed.

Doubt we will be able to see the results cuz I suspect most likely outcomes involve the WBC finding a way to allow Canelo to keep the belt or prolong this situation or they award him some other belt or Canelo will jump towards another title.

Why are you still repeating that garbage about CWs? It's been explained to you many times that Canelo is setting all kinds of disgraceful precedents, dummy
