Wade is on K2, Martin was just on matchbox, Khan is on GBP, Wilder on the Russian card and all are Haymon fighters but not tied down to promoter

What Fetta said. I think Haymon allows for more flexibility to make big fights even if its usually with a core group of 7 or so promoters. And I tend to think what Haymon is doing is gonna become more mainstream if he gets past these TR & GBP lawsuits without issue cuz its a superior model for making fights. So I suspect we'll see more Haymon-like/PBC-like en****** enter the game if that happens to finally end this era of powerful promoters with far too much control.

I don't think Arum truly does anything THAT amazing with making stars except finds talent & his matchmaker does the rest. He is great at getting his guys names mentioned with more notable guys, already been doing that with Ramirez & did it again a day or two after his title winning performance by throwing GGG's name out there. But idk that Haymon with a figurehead behind PBC couldn't do the same.

I think it will be coming sooner rather than later but who knows with which promoter. I could see RNS getting him too
Yea I wouldn't compare Haney to Diaz or Felix with his following. But for a guy with 5 fights & most of them in f#cking Mexico lol & traction on multiple social media sites I think I like the odds of Haney being in a better spot then Diaz & Felix when he's in a similar position in his career as they are now.

I hope he signs with anyone but Roc Nation if he does sign with someone. I audibly signed for Darmani Rock when I heard he signed with Roc Nation. I was rooting for Roc Nation when they first jumped into boxing when most were ****ting on them, but it seems like these guys are having a difficult learning curve in the sport & I hate to see young fighters trapped in those situations.

I won't be super shocked if he does sign with someone tbh, cuz that is obviously the most frequent path for a promising prospect & there seems to be a good ole boy system at the HBO/Showtime level with needing to be with a major promoter to score dates. I'm still gonna root for & lean towards Team Haney taking the path least taken cuz I think Haney has a legit playa father who's thinking on another level then most are at this stage of the game.

like i said. haymon approved promoters or in the case of martin, khan and wade, Haymon had nothing for them so he just cashed them in as heavy underdogs in fights they have no hopes of winning instead of putting his own resources into them.

Wilder is the one unique situation. Wilder didn't want the backlash of being a coward so Haymon lost his power in that case and has to ship him to russia.

look at what tr did with crawford. haymon hasn't done anything close to that. Even GB with Bandido Vargas has built a bigger following in a shorter period of time than what pbc is doing. pbc gets guys on tv but almost all of them cant sell tickets and bounce around on so many networks and different promoters fans don't know when they fight. if a promoter was invested in a guy like lsc he would be a lot bigger than he is even if he still fought the same level of comeptition

Crawford has been with TR for 5 years & he's just gotten to where he's at a year or so ago. PBC has been a platform for Haymon to try to do what TR does for just over a year. Its a false comparison. Talk to me in 2019, 2020 about this. Assuming PBC is still around.

And even then its a bit of a false comparison cuz TR has been in the sport trying to make mainstream stars for 50 years & PBC has been in the sport trying to make mainstream stars for 1 year. Who's expecting PBC's ability to build stars to match TR's anytime soon?

you made my point. I would go with track record. Look what gbp did in building leo and Maidana etc or tr with Cotto Verdejo Crawford even Jose Ramirez sells tons of tickets and isn't that good.

Crawford has been at this level two years now. Go back to the Gamboa fight.

Idk how I made your point. I'm saying you can't even fairly compare a burger joint that just opened to McDonalds at creating popular new menu items. Maybe this new burger joint will become the new McDonalds if given enough time, maybe they won't, who f#cking knows.

Top Rank has been around for 50 years. Golden Boy Promotions has been around for about ~15 years. PBC has been around 1 year & they aren't just trying to build guys up they are trying to create a UFC type entity in boxing too. Its not a fair comparison to make to suggest PBC can't do things TR & GBP have 50x & 15x the experience doing right now. Give PBC some reasonable frame of time & the ability to make adjustments like TR & GBP have been able to do.
